Katie Holmes celebrated her 33rd birthday on Sunday, and when she stepped out with hubby Tom Cruise and daughter Suri at the posh New York eatery Buddakan, she wore a very interesting romper/blouse combo. Even though people are talking smack about it, we have a feeling she may have started a new trend!

While Katie has been spending plenty of time with Tom and Suri in the Big Apple, she left them on their own for a few hours yesterday when she enjoyed a quiet lunch with parents Kathleen and Martin. Aww, looks like she had a lovely time with her family!

Kelly Osbourne may want to invest in a shorter bed. The E! Fashion Police co-host fractured her hand in three places after falling out of her hotel bed.

Good thing Kelly is left-handed. She says her mom, Sharon, now has to help her with brushing her hair and with cutting her food. Osbourne adds, "I feel like a baby again. Of course my mum is loving it!"

Michael Jackson's belongings from his home on Carrolwood Drive were auctioned off and sold for close to $1 million. Julien's Auctions headed the efforts over the weekend.

The items included an armoire with a note from Jackson scribbled on the wood finish, and it sold for $25,750. Also up for sale ... a slatted wood shower bench and a rooster chalkboard. The rug that was beneath Jackson's bed sold for over $15K.

The pre-auction estimates predicted that the revenue would be between $200 - $400K. Looks like the $1 million earned exceeded their expectations.

Jackson died on June 25, 2009.

Britney Spears' ex-husband Kevin Federline chatted with TV Week about her engagement to Jason Trawick, and it sounds like he's genuinely thrilled about her announcement. "I'm really happy for her," he told the mag. "I think he's a great guy."

K-Fed added, "She's happy; she's doing really well. I want to say she's in a good place. I haven't spoken to her much since I've been [in Australia], both of us have been busy with her being on tour, but I do know from talking to the kids and talking to the kids' teachers that they're doing really good ... It's a good step in the right direction. I'm totally happy for her."

Kevin also spoke glowingly about Jason, saying, "He's a really good guy, I've heard a lot about him. I've spoken to him quite a few times as of now. He seems like a really good guy. The kids speak highly of him [and] her family loves him."

Though Kevin and Britney's two-year marriage ended in 2006, they have stayed on relatively good terms for the sake of their two sons, Sean Preston, 6, and Jayden James, 5.

Kevin also spoke about Britney's meltdown in 2007, telling the mag, "It was tough. [They were] just very, very, very dramatic times. I had to do what I had to do for the safety of our children. But at the same time, it tears my heart to pieces to watch your ex go through that, let alone watch anybody go through that. It's horrible. It was a completely dramatic, depressing stage of my life that I'm so glad I'm over and get to leave behind. It was tough."

Selena Gomez cancelled her weekend concerts in Chicago and Seattle citing a "family emergency", and now a source close to the starlet tells E! Online that Gomez's mother, Mandy, suffered a miscarriage on Friday.

Gomez was set to perform at the B96 Jingle Bash 2011 in Chicago on Saturday and at 106.1 KISS FM's Jingle Bell Bash in Seattle on Sunday, and the Seattle show has been postponed due to OneRepublic also pulling the plug on their performance.

Selena was reportedly at the Power 106's Cali Christmas 2011 concert in Los Angeles on Friday evening when she got word of the sad news, and she immediately left the show and headed home.

Gomez tweeted late last month that her mom and stepdad Brian Teefey were expecting their first child together, writing, "Momma and Brian are finally letting me share the news… My mommy’s carrying my baby brother or sister :) I’m the happiest girl in the world!”

Jennifer Lopez and her younger boyfriend are loving life as a couple, and they're not afraid to flaunt it. Case in point ... a trip to Polacheck jewelry store in Calabasas on Sunday.

The Kardashian clan have outdone themselves with this year's Christmas card! Every single one of them looks gorgeous!

All bundled up and looking lovey-dovey, Reese Witherspoon and hubby Jim Toth enjoyed some alone time together as they shopped for Christmas gifts at the Brentwood Country Mart, on Sunday afternoon.

This has been the year of injuries for the Water for Elephants star, who broke her finger in November after getting run over by a car in September. Reese has finally healed from her wounds, and is now only rocking her massive 4-carat ring instead of that ugly finger bandage.

In other news, the Oscar winner recently signed on to star in Devil's Knot, a true story that centers on the West Memphis Three. Witherspoon will play Pam Hobbs, the mother of one of three 8-year-old boys who were murdered in West Memphis, Arkansas in 1993. We can't wait to see this film!
