Ashton Kutcher was once a pioneer of Twitter. In 2009 he challenged CNN to see who could reach 1 million followers first, and won.

Two short years later, he has more than 8 million followers and, especially with recent months of heated news over his alleged cheating on wife Demi Moore, his Twitter account is monitored constantly by the media and fans.

On Wednesday, the actor got major heat for Tweeting that Penn State University coach Joe Paterno's firing was unfair. Kutcher, an advocate in the fight against child sex abuse, quickly apologized (also via Twitter.) He said he did not know the full story -- that Paterno allegedly ignored that one of his assistant coaches had sexually abused young boys.

On Thursday, Kutcher Tweeted a blog post in which he says that Twitter has become too much for him, and he will handle the management feed over to his production company team, Katalyst Media.

"As of immediately I will stop tweeting until I find a way to properly manage this feed. I feel awful about this error. ... twitter has grown into a mass publishing platform, where ones tweets quickly become news that is broadcasted around the world ... I feel responsible for delivering an informed opinion and not spreading gossip or rumors through my twitter feed."

Kutcher said he instantly received, "... a hailstorm of responses calling me an 'idiot' and several other expletives that I've become accustom to hearing for almost anything I post" after the Paterno Tweet.

Mariah Yeater, 20, is demanding that pop star Justin Beiber, 17, take a paternity test to determine that he is the father of her 4-month-old son after a tryst last year.

Bieber's camp says he has scheduled a paternity test for two weeks from now, when he returns from Europe, where he has been performing and spending time with girlfriend Selena Gomez (see photos of the two in Paris below!)

On Wednesday, Yeater's lawyers said they had first tried to settle with the pop star out of court. Chicago lawyer Jeffrey Leving said he sent e-mails to Bieber's camp in September and October asking for a private paternity test and negotiations for child support; he said that, at the time, he and Yeater saw no need for a public court filing.

“It could have been done painlessly, with the media never knowing about it,” he said.

Leving says he trusts Yeater's story, and wants to make sure that Bieber's DNA test is done properly. “People are so enamored with Justin Bieber, you could have someone change samples in a lab because of love for this guy," he said.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds co-starred in The Green Lantern, and now they're reportedly looking to cohabitate.

The two have only been seeing each other romantically for about a month; Lively began dating Reynolds quickly after splitting from summer fling Leonardo DiCaprio.

But The New York Post says the actress, 24, and actor, 35, were spotted looking at NYC apartments together, including a three-bedroom, $4.35 million penthouse on famous Fifth Avenue in Madison Square Park.

"When they were done, she left the building first, wearing tall boots, jeans, coat and fedora, and got straight into a Town Car, and then Ryan exited into the same car," the Post's source said. "Her little dog was waiting with the driver in the front seat."

Lively lives in Chelsea -- she's in NYC most of the time to shoot Gossip Girl.

Chelsea Handler was snapped leaving Tavern in Brentwood on Wednesday evening, and the comedienne appears to be handling her split from hotelier boyfriend Andre Balazs quite well.

"She's fine," a source recently told Page Six. "If she's feeling down, she's certainly not showing it." Handler and Balazs dated for seven months, and she previously dated rapper 50 Cent, Animal Planet host/hottie Dave Salmoni and NBC executive Ted Harbert. Hmm, wonder who she'll date next?

After five years on America's Got Talent, Piers Morgan is leaving his spot at the judging table. Morgan made the announcement on Wednesday night's episode of Piers Morgan Tonight, explaining that he needs to focus his efforts on his evening talk show.

"I've loved every single second, but discovered that juggling, to my surprise really is a bit more difficult than I thought," Morgan added. Morgan thanked America's Got Talent creator Simon Cowell for the opportunity to work on the show, and he even joked to the Motion Picture Academy that he is now available to host the Oscars.

Life & Style is reporting that Kris Humphries is refusing to sign divorce papers that would break up his marriage with wife Kim Kardashian.

Kardashian filed for divorce on Oct. 31; the two had been married for 72 days.

Since the filing, it has been reported that Kris is religious and doesn't believe in divorce.

Initially, he released a statement saying, "I’m committed to this marriage and everything this covenant represents, and I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make it work," leaving many wonder if the two would reconcile, or if Kris wouldn't accept the divorce at all.

Now, a source tells the mag: "He's not signing."

Kim traveled to Minnesota last weekend to talk to Kris face-to-face. Though she was there less than 24 hours, the two reportedly met with Pastor Joel Johnson, who married them, to discuss their marital problems.

LeAnn Rimes is quite the fashionista! The country cutie rocked a ruffled frock for the Country Music Awards.

Eddie Cibrian's wifey has been busy on the road lately promoting her latest album Lady and Gentlemen. Next week, Rimes will be heading to Grand Rapids, Michigan for a benefit show for Standup for Kids.

When asked about the non-profit charity, she said:

"I believe that message needs to be shared with the world, and in doing so, I am happy ... to help support STANDUP FOR KIDS, an important nonprofit organization whose mission is to help homeless and street kids all across the country."

A second sexy lady is coming forward with a lawsuit against boxing great Oscar De La Hoya, the New York Post reports.

X17 first brought you photos in 2007 (above) of De La Hoya wearing women's lingerie during a night of partying. The woman involved in that incident, Milana Dravnel, sued De La Hoya after he claimed the photos were fake. She settled out of court with De La Hoya (for a reported $20 million) to keep quiet, but De La Hoya finally admitted in late August of this year that our pics were real.

De La Hoya had entered rehab in May of this year. But now, ANOTHER woman is coming forward. Angelica Marie Cecora, 25, a model for Playboy and Maxim, says that before the boxer entered rehab, he engaged in a scary hotel sex romp with her, too.

Cecora says that De La Hoya contacted her online, telling her his name was Thomas Crown (the rich playboy from the film The Thomas Crown Affair), then revealed his true identity when he took her to dinner on March 15.

After eating, he paid with his AmEx Black Card, then told her he wanted her to spend the night with him at The Ritz-Carlton on Central Park South. He had been drinking heavily during dinner, then ordered more alcohol once they were in his suite -- and ordered drugs to be delivered to the room. She says:

“It was beyond kinky. Things that I don’t even know how to explain were done with him. ... He started to put my stuff on, my underwear. I had a skirt with me. He put that on. ... He was the exact same size as me. He fit into the tiniest pair of underwear that I had been wearing. ... He was dancing, playing around with my [clothes], playing a woman, very feminine. ... We had intercourse . . . He wasn’t taking no for an answer ... he just wanted more and more [drugs] ... "

Cecora says De La Hoya told her he idolized Charlie Sheen and kept shouting, "Winning!" while getting "completely wasted." Cecora called her roommate to help her.
