Country cutie Taylor Swift's star just got a little brighter at Wednesday's CMA Awards ... when she earned the coveted Entertainer of the Year honor.

She was the only female in this category and beat out the following: Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Jason Aldean and Blake Shelton. Pretty impressive!

Swift also performed her latest track "Ours."

Other big winners of the night included Band Perry, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Sugarland and Lady Antebellum.

The show was hosted by Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley.

Ashton Kutcher Tweeted before thinking when commenting about the firing of Penn State's football coach Joe Paterno.

The Two and a Half Men star, 33, wrote the following Tweet:

"How dare you fire Jo Pa?" he tweeted. "Insult #noclass as a hawkeye fan I find it in poor taste."

Immediately after the Tweet, Kutcher fans were outraged at his support for Paterno, who lost his job amidst a child-abuse sex scandal. Paterno was fired for failing to act and contact authorities after learning the school's assistant coach Jerry Sandusky was sexually abusing young boys.

After getting Tweets calling him "ignorant" and an "idiot," Kutcher deleted his initial message and wrote the following:

"Heard Joe was fired, fully recant previous tweet! Didn't have full story. #admitwhenYoumakemistakes...This is an insane story, I just heard paterno was fired, getting the rest of the story now... Wow ... As an advocate in the fight against child sexual exploitation, I could not be more remorseful for all involved in the Penn St. case."

Miley Cyrus just made this little girl's day!

Not one to disappoint an adoring fan, Cyrus happily stopped to pose with the lucky kid at a Trader Joe's parking lot in Sherman Oaks, on Wednesday.

And she didn't just snap and go -- Miley took time to make sure the pix came out picture perfect, before heading inside to load up on groceries.

Unfortunately the So Undercover star did break the heart of one of her older fans this week. Miley turned down an invite from Lance Corporal Ian Hart to the Camp Pendleton Marine Corps ball, due to "scheduling conflicts".

A plaid-clad Chris Brown was spotted arriving at LAX to catch a flight to Paris yesterday afternoon, and the R&B star showed off his freshly bleached locks and a pricey Goyard bag. So stylish, this one! And carrying his own luggage? Maybe he is a down to earth dude after all...

Before taking off, Chris tweeted, "On my way to FRANCE! Shooting my 5th movie "PLANET B-BOY"! This is gonna be some ill s***! Rehearsal been kicking my a**!"

Meanwhile, Brown's ex-girlfriend Rihanna is reportedly expecting her first child with a mystery baby daddy! The singer cancelled multiple shows while on tour in Europe due to illness, and she's also given up drinking alcohol on stage -- part of her usual routine!

After a fan mentioned Riri was pregnant via Twitter, “@ Rihanna's pregnant but had four boyfriends last month”, Rihanna quickly responded. "Hello, you must be my p*ssy! Nice to meet you," she Tweeted back, failing to deny the rumor.

After dropping Suri off with the nanny for the afternoon, Katie Holmes was happy to spend a relaxing kid-free day shopping and lunching in NYC.

The busy mamma has been working overtime this month promoting the Adam Sandler comedy, Jack and Jill, (she play's Sandler's wife) but Katie already has her eye on a new project!

Mrs. Tom Cruise recently expressed on Good Morning America that she's hoping for a Dawson's Creek reunion show. Holmes, who played Joey Potter on the series, confessed: "It would be fun. I had so much fun working on that show and I loved everyone so much and I think about it with such fond memories. It's a really great group of people."

Fingers crossed a Dawson's Creek reunion will actually happen someday!

Feeling a bit camera shy all of a sudden, Camille Grammer shielded her lovely face from the cameras as she made her way to the Malibu Country Mart, on Wednesday.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star recently revealed that she's willing to take another trip down the aisle someday soon, after divorcing Kelsey Grammer this year.

Last weekend at a charity event, Camille told E! news, "A year ago I would have said I definitely never, I will never enter into that kind of agreement, but now I've definitely changed my mind."

It must have something to do with her hunky new beau, Dimitri Charalambopoulos!

Eddie Murphy appeared to be in a good mood when we spotted him leaving Restoration Hardware with several bags full of goodies today, but the comedian stayed mum on why he backed out of hosting the 2012 Academy Awards.

Murphy announced that he was stepping down from the gig just one day after Brett Ratner resigned from producing the awards show, and it's widely speculated that Eddie didn't feel comfortable doing the show without the Tower Heist director by his side. After causing public outrage for using a gay slur in a recent interview, it makes sense that Ratner would back out of producing the telecast, but everyone still wants to know what was going through Murphy's head when he decided to bail.

Brian Grazer will now produce the Oscars, but AMPAS has yet to reveal who will replace Murphy as host.

Today we spotted hot mama Nicole Richie leaving the gym (what else is new?) and the reformed party princess/reality TV starlet flashed a tiny smile as she trotted back to her car. It seems like she wasn't feeling so hot when she woke up this morning, as she tweeted, "Being awake is overrated." Geez, wonder how hubby Joel Madden deals with her mood swings?
