Fresh from his split with American Idol alum Pia Toscano, Mark Ballas and a lady friend were spotted in Beverly Hills on Wednesday afternoon. Later Mark tweeted, "Great night with @HayleySNewton and @divadarv #friendsareirreplaceable."

Hmm, glad he clarified that he was out with "friends," and it's interesting to note that when his platonic gal pal tried to hold his hand, the Dancing with the Stars pro seemed to rebuff her advances.

Perhaps it was her camel toe leopard cutoffs, but maybe Mark isn't ready for another relationship? Sources close to Mark tell the NY Post that he’s “devastated” since the couple split last month. “He’s still driving around with Pia’s head shots inside his car,” the source said. “Pia broke up with him by e-mail when she was out of town. He’s been trying to get over her.” Aww!

We have to say, we've never seen Hilary Duff as happy as she's been lately!

Seems like pregnancy is agreeing with Duff -- she was in a wonderful mood at pilates on Thursday morning. In sweats and a tee, Duff looked comfy and cute -- and the pregnancy glow doesn't hurt, either!

Hil, 24, is expecting a boy, and she recently said that this baby probably won't be her only one! Hil's hubby Mike Comrie comes from a large family, so they want several little ones!

As for names, Hil says she and Mike are considering more traditional names for their mini-man. Cute!

Lindsay Lohan was turned away from her community service at the LA County Morgue this morning because she was over twenty minutes late, and according to legal experts, this COULD have some very serious consequences for the 25-year-old starlet.

Attorney Barry Gerald Sands spoke exclusively with X17online about Lilo's latest legal drama, and he tells us that Judge Stephanie Sautner could consider this to be a violation of probation at Lohan's progress hearing on November 2. "Based on what the judge said yesterday, a one-time matter can be considered a violation of probation," Sands tells us. Even if the folks at the morgue excuse Lindsay's mistake today (and it seems as though they have, since she'll back back tomorrow at 8am), Judge Sautner could throw the book at Lohan, even though she still has another six months to complete her court-mandated community service.

Of course, if Lohan shows up on time and dutifully completes her shifts at the morgue over the next two weeks, she would be in full compliance with the judge's orders, and if this is proven at the next court date, the actress won't have any problems. Sands says he's doubtful that this one time error would land Lohan in jail, "but the judge can do anything she wants."

However, if Lohan shows up late again, that could definitely leave a bad taste in the judge's mouth, so hopefully the actress checks her traffic reports and shows up on time from here on out!

Courtney Love is pulling a Lindsay Lohan -- but on a much larger scale!

A Manhattan judge just found Love responsible for $115,000 worth of jewelry that went missing last year.

Love borrowed baubles from celeb jeweler Jacob & Co. for "The New Yorkers for Children Benefit" at Cirpriani's restaurant last year, including two gold diamond chains, a gold cuff bracelet and gold diamond pave hoop earrings.

The chains were $34,200 each, the earrings $45,500 and the bracelet was worth $70,000. Love signed a document saying she knew the value of the jewels.

Love claimed that after the event, she put the items in a bag and gave them to the staff at the Mercer Hotel (where she was staying) with instructions to return the bag to Jacob. She claims the staff returned the bracelet, but lost the chains and earrings.

At the time, Love filed a police report (she maintains that she does not have the jewels.) But Jacob didn't believe her, and filed a lawsuit soon after saying she is responsible and demanding that she pay $113,000 plus interest.

“Her detention and retention of the chain and the earrings are wrong,” said the company’s filing.

Now, a judge has sided with Jacob, and Love must pay him the money.

Lindsay Lohan showed up to the LA County Morgue for her court-ordered community service, but the 25-year-old actress was turned away because she was LATE!

Steve Honig, Lilo's rep, tells X17online:

"Lindsay arrived at the morgue approximately 20 minutes late and will be returning for orientation tomorrow. Her lateness was due to a combination of not knowing what entrance to go through and confusion caused by the media waiting for her arrival. Lindsay spoke with the supervisors at the morgue, they showed her how to get in and everything is all cleared up."

We're told Lilo left her house at 7:30am behind the wheel ... rushing and running red lights to get there by her start time of 8am. She arrived to the morgue at 8:22am.

Lindsay was seen driving into the morgue parking lot ... and her assistant briefly speaking with a morgue employee. Even though Lilo entered the building in the hopes of persuading officials to let her start working today, she failed.

UPDATE: Lilo just Tweeted the following:

"With all of the stress and pressure from yesterday and today, I've never been so happy to go to therapy!!!! Also, I'm sorry for the confusion that I may of caused to those at the Coroner's office. Won't happen again, now I know where to go! Thank you for your help."

Now that she knows Judge Stephanie Sautner isn't messing around, Lindsay Lohan started her community service at the Los Angeles County Morgue at 8:22am. We're told Lilo left her house at 7:30am behind the wheel ... rushing and running red lights to get there.

An LA County Morgue employee addressed photographers this morning at 8:10am and said Lindsay would be turned away if she was late. However, the actress is still currently at the morgue.

The 25-year-old starlet's sad-looking mugshot surfaced this morning.

During Wednesday's progress hearing, the judge made it clear that she believed Lindsay wasn't taking her community service seriously. Getting kicked out of the LA Downtown Women's Center probably didn't help.

Back in April, Lindsay was ordered to serve 360 hours at the center, however she only served 21 hours. Lohan has until April 2012 to finish her sentence.

Judge Sautner demanded Ms. Lohan show progress by November 2. Looks like Linds got the message!

TIMELINE -

• 7:30AM - Lindsay leaves her Venice Beach home; Lohan's driving and her assistant is in the passenger's seat.


• 7:45AM - Lindsay's driving down Olympic Blvd., running red lights and speeding, trying to make it to the County Morgue where she's been assigned to community service.


• 8:10AM - A morgue employee steps out into the parking lot and tells the media Lindsay is late for her community service and will be turned away.


• 8:45AM - Assistant chief coroner Ed Winter says Lindsay has been turned away by morgue staff and that she will not be able to complete her first day of court-ordered community service at the public facility because she was tardy and considered a no-show.


• 9:00AM - Lindsay left the morgue and is headed home.

Jessica Simpson has yet to confirm her alleged pregnancy, but she's apparently "over the moon" about having a little girl, according to InTouch.

Simpson, 31, and fiance Eric Johnson, 32, are reportedly planning a wedding in Hawaii for next month.

A friend of the couple tells the mag:

“She’s telling people it’s like winning the lottery, twice. She and Eric are both so happy. He’s telling pals that his daughter will be a daddy’s girl."

The mag is also reporting Jess has purchased a $14,500 crib in shades of pink, yellow and green. So cute!

Simpson's rep has yet to respond to our requests for comment. Why the silence from her camp? The New York Post reports that Simpson won't officially confirm that she's expecting until she secures a $500,000 magazine cover deal!
