Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham is known for being tough, often making seemingly selfish decisions or fighting back with her parents on the MTV reality show.
But now she's made her most controversial move ever -- Farrah gave up her two-year-old daughter Sophia, at least for the time being.
The Council Bluffs, Iowa-native has been seen traveling the country during this season of Teen Mom, looking at potential schools and apartments in California, Arizona and Florida. On Tuesday's episode, Farrah struggled with the idea of moving to the Sunshine State to study, sobbing, "I would never leave [my daughter]."
But according to Life & Style, Farrah did.
The reality star has been studying in Fort Lauderdale for a few months now and did leave Sophia with her mother Debra Danielson back in Council Bluffs. She told the mag:
“I want her [Sophia’s grandmother] to be there for Sophia when I need to take care of my responsibilities, my education and earning an income for both of us.â€
Farrah also says that Sophia is her number one priority, and she doesn't regret her decision because it's helping her get an education while growing "personally and emotionally." But she is torn by her decision, saying, “I’m tugged in many different ways daily -- but I don’t want to limit myself or Sophia.â€

Bravo
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills isn't the only show in the Bravo franchise experiencing drama.
Reports hit the Internet Thursday that The Real Housewives of New York's cast is seeing major shake-ups.
The Huffington Post reports that original cast members Jill Zarin and Alex McCord were notified Thursday that they had been fired from the show. Kelly Bensimon, who joined the show in its second season, has also been let go.
In addition, Us Weekly reports that Cindy Barshop has been fired. She became a cast member in the 2010 season -- the show's fourth.
That leaves LuAnn de Lesseps, Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan for Season 5.
Lesseps told New York Live on Wednesday that three new cast members were being added to the show.

Katy Perry is back to black.
The "Last Friday Night" singer is gracing the October 2011 cover of Cosmopolitan Australia in little more than a tiny red spandex top, curve-hugging pencil skirt and her former dark locks (she's since gone blonde/lavender).
The fiery tank leaves little to the imagination, which we're guessing few will argue about.
She does more than show off her enviable figure though. Inside the issue, Katy talks about hubby Russell Brand, her next album and dream duet John Mayer. Surprisingly, the 26-year-old admits in the Cosmo quiz that the most daredevil thing she's ever done was get engaged to Russell.
Whether you read the article or just stare at the cover, one thing's for sure -- Katy is one hot married woman.

Taylor Armstrong's The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' co-stars Kyle Richards, Camille Grammer and Lisa Vanderpump sat down with Access Hollywood to discuss the state of their friend.
They also touched on the news that Taylor had given her first interview since her estranged husband Russell's suicide to ET.
The trio said they found newly released photos of Taylor (right) with a black eye to be "shocking" and "very difficult to look at." Vanderpump revealed that Taylor had to have surgery for her eye injury.
As for Taylor giving an interview to ET about alleged abuse by Russell (the interview airs Sept. 20), Vanderpump and Richards defended the decision.
Vanderpump said Taylor has "not just the emotional mess, but the financial one as well. She's had to cope with a lot."
Said Richards:
"She's still struggling. Obviously her biggest concern is her daughter Kennedy ... she does have a child to support."

Brad Pitt is ready to talk about everything ... from his current life with ladylove Angelina Jolie to his failed marriage to Jennifer Aniston.
The 47-year-old star tells Parade:
“I spent the ‘90s trying to hide out, trying to duck the full celebrity cacophony. I started to get sick of myself sitting on a couch, holding a joint, hiding out. It started feeling pathetic. It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn’t living an interesting life myself. I think that my marriage [to Jennifer Aniston] had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn’t."
As for his life with Jolie, the Moneyball actor adds:
“One of the greatest, smartest things I ever did was give my kids Angie as their mom. She is such a great mom. Oh, man, I’m so happy to have her.â€
