Suri Cruise, 5, is starting school ... but is it run by Scientologists?

The New Village Leadership Academy in Calabasas, Calif., where Suri is attending, was founded by Will and Jada Pinkett Smith. Both are rumored Scientologists.

Suri's father, Tom Cruise, is openly a Scientologist.

NVLA drew attention in 2009 for teachings similar to Scientology's. At Scientology schools, children are supposedly fed low-carb lunches and sometimes even have days of fasting. Says NVLA's website: "There is a low-sugar policy at the school. ... Also stressed is that television time be limited [at home]."

One of the principals of Scientology is that children, in effect, teach themselves. This is certainly reflected on NVLA's website, which reads, "The New Village Leadership Academy is dedicated to the cultivation of powerful, self-educating leaders ... our children move forward as quickly as they like."

And, eventually, perhaps learn that we are descended from aliens.

X17 contacted the school. We were told, "We are not affiliated with any religion. This is a secular school."

Brit is ready to film the song's music video in the UK. The pop star Tweeted:

"Can't wait! I LOVE London, it's like my second home. Decided to shoot the 'Criminal' video in the streets of merry old England when I get there..."

Brad Pitt sat down with Entertainment Weekly to promote his new pet project flick Moneyball ... and the interview ran for three-and-a-half hours!

That makes for a lot of personal Pitt time. So what did the actor get into? EW offers a teaser of the article on its website, and there are plenty of sexy soundbites.

Brad talks about how he and partner Angelina Jolie alternate working on movies (one is never working while the other is so that one parent can be with their children) -- but how he thinks that should change.

"We should be doing them [movies] together. That’s what we should be doing. We should be doing everything together, and then we could work less. We could have more time off."

Brad also talks about when he and Angie first met -- on the set of 2005's Mr. and Mrs. Smith. He says: "We had some good workshops beforehand. Had some good laughs and ideas. That was just a great collaboration that turned into a greater collaboration."

We have a feeling the Kardashian girls won't be making an appearance on Philadelphia's FOX 29 morning show Good Day after seeing this clip!

Seconds after finishing a satellite interview with Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, anchor Mike Jerrick imitated Kim's high voice ... and poked fun at the sisters' shoulder pads. Brave man!

Jerrick's co-anchor, Sheinelle Jones, tries to play nice by saying "I think they're stunning."

Ouch! Let's hope the Kardashian girls have a sense of humor.

Dancing With The Stars pro Mark Ballas and former American Idol contestant Pia Toscano began dating earlier this year, but already, their romance has ended.

Toscano's rep declined to comment on why the couple split. However, the following statement was released:

"She's hard at work on her new album and can't wait for her fans to hear it. Pia is wrapping up her American Idol tour and her album is expected to be released soon."

Ballas, 25, and Toscano, 22, met while they were both working on their shows. DWTS and AI rehearse and shoot at CBS Television City in Los Angeles.

For DWTS Season 13, Ballas has been teamed up with Kristin Cavallari. Now that the Hills hottie is single, will these two strike up a showmance? It would certainly be great publcity for the show's premiere on September 19!

On Wednesday Kevin Jonas and wife Danielle Deleasa attended the Anna Sui Spring 2012 fashion show at the Lincoln Center in New York City, and the happy couple still look like they're in the honeymoon phase of their relationship! Can you believe they'll be celebrating two years of marriage this December?

Other famous faces at the show included Sofia Coppola, Lisa Marie Presley, Corinne Bailey Rae and Taryn Manning, and the designer recently revealed to Rolling Stone that her new collection was inspired by 1970s photographer and illustrator Antonio Lopez. Retro glam? Loves it!

Eva Longoria appears on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today, and we have to say, we're amazed at how honest the actress is about her divorce from Tony Parker and her newfound happiness with current beau Eduardo Cruz.

On what she learned from her very public split, Eva tells Ellen, "You know for me being a woman I realized you cannot identify yourself through a man or through your marriage ... Or through a partner. I think it’s our nature to be socially constructed that way. To just be inferior or subservient and you don’t have to be. You can be yourself and really hold your own by yourself no matter what partnership you’re in."

Ellen remarked that the Desperate Housewives hottie seemed to be in a happy place, and Eva agreed. "Everyone says I look younger," she exclaimed. "Which I’m like, ok. Everyone keeps saying, you’ve never looked better. I’m going wow; I think divorce agrees with me."
