Reese Witherspoon was hit by a car Wednesday morning while on a jog in Santa Monica.

Paramedics rushed the Oscar-winning actress to the hospital.

The 35-year-old mother of two fortunately received only minor injuries in the accident.

The Santa Monica Police Department responded to a call placed at 11:14 a.m. regarding a traffic collision involving a vehicle and a female pedestrian. Witherspoon was reportedly running within an unmarked crosswalk at the time of the collision.

The driver of the car, an 84-year-old woman, was traveling approximately 20 mph when she hit the actress, according to reports.

The driver was cited for failure to stop for a pedestrian and released.

Witherspoon is now at home with her children recovering from her injuries.

Sandra Bullock looked happy as she left a medical plaza on Wednesday amid rumors that she is pregnant.

But, is she really with child?

While cover stories are claiming so, we're skeptical. Bullock is 47, and she adopted son Louis. Back in 2006, the actress slammed a reporter for asking her if she was expecting, calling the question "disgusting ... What if I couldn't have kids?"

On Wednesday, Simon Cowell revealed that he had a "bizarre kind of blind date" with Denise Richards years ago. Cowell, 51, said Richards, 40, is "cute."

They were set up by friends and met at the Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills.

So why didn't it work out? "She turned up 8 months pregnant and had a dog in her handbag," Cowell said.

Yeah, that will kill a mood! Richards gave birth to two daughters -- Sam, 7, and Lola, 6, with Charlie Sheen. She also has adopted infant daughter Eloise Joni.

So, things didn't work out. But while Cowell admits the pregnant belly was a bit of a turnoff, he said, "But she is gorgeous. I liked her a lot, I think she's cute, funny, a bit of a wacko ... but I like that."

Somehow, we're not surprised.
