Kristin Cavallari has called off her engagement to Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler after just ten months together.

The couple were planning a spring wedding after he proposed during an April vacation in Mexico. In fact, just a week ago, Cavallari Tweeted about her engagement party: "Thx to all my amazing friends for making my engagement party a blast last night! as did Cutler: "Thx to all my amazing friends for making my engagement party a blast last night!"

Turns out, the couple may have been suffering from annoying family squabbles between their parents. A source tells X17online exclusively: "Jay and his family were making fun of Kristin's dad's height a lot, and she got sick of it. That combined with a few other compatibility issues, lead them to break off the engagement."

Kristin was out with pals last night at The Beverly and was reportedly chatting with pals Nicky Hilton and Alessandra Ambrosio about how she and Jay had called off the wedding. The Hills star's engagement ring was also missing ...

Mandy Moore made an appearance in West Hollywood Saturday, dining in an outdoor cafe with a pal, and my, how lovely she looked!

Seriously, we never she her or her rocker hubby Ryan Adams -- they've been married now for two years and spend most of their time in Nashville, Adams' adopted hometown.

Moore and Adams have collaborated on-stage in the past and now, the country-alt-rock crooner is releasing an official 7" vinyl featuring the couple's collaboration on the single Empty Room. For now, it'll be available only to concert-goers on Adams' European tour :(

Kris Jenner hosted daughter Kim Kardashian's bridal shower Saturday at the family's Calabasas estate.

The black-and-white-themed event brought out many of the reality stars' closest friends and family, of course, before Kim and fiance Kris Humphries headed to Vegas to celebrate their bachelor and bachelorette parties.

The happy event, however, was overshadowed by the death of Amy Winehouse, which gave a somber tone to the afternoon. Before the news broke, Kim was Tweeting to pals Kelly Osbourne and Demi Lovato about her excitement for the impending party:

The actress dressed up for an event at the Hotel Sofitel in Beverly Hills Friday night, looking amazingly beautiful but perhaps just a teensy bit tired of being pregnant!

Rhys Ifans, who plays Dr. Curt Connors/The Lizard in Spider-Man, was arrested for misdemeanor battery at the Comic-Con convention in San Diego Friday evening after allegedly shoving a female security guard before heading into a panel discussion.

Ifans, 44, got upset when a member of his entourage was denied entry to the hall because he lacked proper credentials, and proceeded to push the guard in order to get through. He was allowed to participate in the discussion along with co-stars Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield, but the guard made a citizen's arrest when the panel was finished.

A spokesperson for Sony Studios says Ifans "deeply regrets the incident," while Lt. Andra Brown, of the San Diego Police Department, says, "He was aggressive and belligerent. He was berating everyone from the security staff to the United States of America."

The actor was arrested and released and the city attorney will now decide whether to press charges. Brown went on to quote Ifans: "... according to him, the U.S. sucks and he doesn't want to come back."
