Matt Damon, 40, is speaking up for pals Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

The actor told German television station TELE 5 that he's thankful for his privacy, especially because not all of his famous friends have it. Says Damon:

"I have friends who are like prisoners. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie ... They can't just go someplace. If they go for a walk, it turns into an international incident."

Damon says he and wife Luciana are happy to lead a quiet life.

"Ever since I found my wife and we had children, my whole life revolves around that," he says. "I'm really lucky ... I do the work that I love and need, but don't need paramilitary troops to protect me when I walk out my front door."

Matt and Luciana married in 2003; they have four daughters. So, why can Matt -- who's quite an A-lister himself -- lead such a media-free life? He explains after the jump.

Stone is the new Strawberry Shortcake, it seems. Looking like a veritable Valentine's Day cupcake, she sported a red-and-pink Giambattista Valli dress and Christian Louboutin heels at the premiere of Friends With Benefits in NYC Monday night.

Emma, a natural blonde, has dyed her hair red since producer Judd Apatow told her she looked better with red hair while on the set of 2007's Superbad.

But, she recently went back to blonde to film The Amazing Spider-Man (speaking of which ... an unauthorized teaser trailer of the film hit the Internet yesterday, but was quickly taken down by studios).

Now, the comedy darling is seeing red again ... but what do you think of her ponytail and poofy dress pairing? We're not really loving the makeshift muffin top on her color-block frock ...

Wearing what appears to be nothing, cast members Ashton Kutcher, Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones are holding up a sign that reads ... "All Will Be Revealed."

We have a feeling they're referring to details on how Charlie Sheen's character will be killed off the hit show. Don't know about you, but this fleshfest certainly has us intrigued.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have always denied that their romance began while Pitt was still married to ex Jennifer Aniston, but a new book says otherwise.

According to Confidential: The Life of Secret Agent Turned Hollywood Tycoon Arnon Milchan, by Joseph Gelman and Meir Doron, Hollywood producer Arnon Milchan "introduced Pitt to Jolie and immediately sensed that there was a spark between them."

The couple starred in Mr. and Mrs. Smith together; Milchan was a producer on the 2005 film.

The book continues:

"A passionate romance ensued, with one slight problem ... Pitt was married to [Aniston] ... when Aniston kicked Pitt out of the house, all hell broke loose."

Simon Cowell, who is known for his harsh judging style, was offered $150K to critique a couple's bedroom habits, according to the Wall Street Journal. Awkward!

The X Factor judge recalls the hefty offer during an interview with WSJ. Cowell says he was approached by the couple while having dinner in Los Angeles. They asked him to come home with them and observe their sexual abilities. The 51-year-old Brit says he did not accept the offer.

Cowell, reportedly worth $300 million, is gearing up for the September launch of his highly-anticipated show featuring fellow judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul.

Katy Perry, 26, and hubby Russell Brand, 36, are once again vigorously denying rumors of a failing romance.

An article in Heat magazine quoted Katy as saying, "We're thinking of taking a break from our marriage. I'm worried it could be the end of the road for us."

But Perry took to Twitter Monday to refute the story, Tweeting:

"Just cause we don't flaunt our relationship doesn't mean there's something wrong w/it. Privacy is our luxury. #tabloidsrtrash #gossipisgross."

Brand followed soon after, referencing the much-talked-about News of the World scandal in his Tweet.

"You tell em Mrs Brand! In Britain we're currently dismantling the scum media so I'm not tuned in to their brain-farting."

The two married in October 2010 after about a year of dating and have spent much of their time speaking out against break-up rumors. In April, Perry reportedly sued Australian magazine AW over a story claiming that she had cheated on Brand with a music producer.

Maybe if Katy and Russell didn't keep acknowledging the false gossip, it wouldn't get so much attention!
