Sarah Palin Makes Fun Of Katie Couric's Plans For "Multidimensional Storytelling"

Posted on Fri Apr 29th, 2011 10:50am PDT       By X17 Staff

Apparently Sarah Palin is still bitter about the 2008 interview Katie Couric conducted that made Palin appear uniformed, to say the least.

After Couric announced her plans to step down as the CBS Evening News anchor to focus on "multidimensional storytelling," Palin cracked to Fox News:

"Yeah, and I hear that she wants to now engage in more 'multidimensional storytelling' versus I guess just the 'straight on, read into the, that teleprompter screen storytelling.' More power to her. I wish her well in her 'multidimensional storytelling.'"

Charlie Sheen Calls Chuck Lorre A "Nut-Less Sociopath" And Other Expletives

Posted on Fri Apr 29th, 2011 10:30am PDT       By X17 Staff

Sheen230No.2.jpgCharlie Sheen is mouthing off after reports were released Thursday that Two and a Half Men would continue without him.

Sheen calls the show's co-creator Chuck Lorre an "a**hole p**sy loser," a "low rent, nut-less sociopath" and a "sad silly fool" in a letter released today.

"No one cares about your feeble show without me," Sheen wrote.

Sheen was fired from the show by CBS and Warner Bros. in February after a public war of words with Lorre. He seemed mad that Lorre hasn't tried to mend things with him, and wrote:

"Not even a phone call to the man that put you on the map. The man that put 500 million dollars in your pockets ... I busted my a** for eight years to support your vision."

Sheen is currently suing Lorre and Warner Bros. for $100 million, but has been vocal on his national tour that he wants to come back to the show.

See what Lorre's plans for the show's future are after the jump.

Security At Royal Wedding Cost $35 Million

Posted on Fri Apr 29th, 2011 9:33am PDT       By X17 Staff

Security was high for the royal wedding today ... $35 million high.

Reportedly, 5,000 police officers (or Bobbies, as the Brits call them) along with Army, Navy and Air Force personnel were on hand at the event for security. Most were stationed along the wedding route.

And those thousands of people were hired for a $35 million total price tag.

The police also conducted raids in the days before the wedding on nearby homes in a pre-emptive strike. They arrested seven protesters and took away a guillotine from one. Scary!

The officers also moved protesters from the front of the Houses of Parliament.

See what incident made police especially scared of problems after the jump.

Video: Designer Vera Wang Weighs In On Kate Middleton's Wedding Dress

Posted on Fri Apr 29th, 2011 9:23am PDT       By X17 Staff

The most highly anticipated moment of the day was when Kate Middleton finally revealed her wedding dress.

A custom made ivory gown designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, which echoed Grace Kelly's classic lace gown.

Wedding dress designer to the stars, Vera Wang, who designed custom gowns for Jennifer Lopez and Jessica Simpson, called the gown "an emotional statement."

"She's made her very own strong personal statement as to who she really is, it's that she is really her own person, that she has a sense of her own elegance and what is appropriate," Wang said. "She's showing the world that she's not here to only dress for fashion, she's here to dress for herself in a very elegant and dignified manner and I think that says volumes about who she is and the task that lies ahead for her.

Wang's favorite part? The veil!

"She wore such a simple veil over such a beautiful dress in its classicism," Wang said. Of course, it the "simplicity" of the veil was topped off by a "halo" tiara lent to Middleton by the Queen herself!

Why Kate's Sister Pippa Wore White

Posted on Fri Apr 29th, 2011 8:54am PDT       By X17 Staff

goingintochapeldress2011.jpg

Kate Middleton's maid of honor and younger sister, Pippa, wore white for the royal wedding today.

Were you as confused as us? Isn't wearing white at someone else's wedding a total fashion faux pas?

Turns out, British traditions are different than American ones. An old superstition says that bridesmaids and groomsmen should dress similarly to the bride and groom to ward off evil spirits.

And Brits have set traditions with white at weddings in more ways than one; Queen Victoria was the one who first popularized wearing a white wedding dress when she got married in 1840.

Before that, brides just wore their best dress for the ceremony.

So, we have her to thank for the pricey gowns and endless hours of shopping and flipping through Modern Bride. Thanks, Queen. If it weren't for you, we could have just gone to Forever21.

See who designed Pippa's dress after the jump!
