Emma Roberts has revealed in a new interview that she auditioned for her role in Scream 4 over Skype.
Roberts recalls arriving at Wes Craven's home for the audition only to find that the director wasn't there. The 20-year-old actress says, "I get to his house and they told me it would be on Skype, which was so strange because his assistant was there, his casting director was there and he's there on a laptop. I just went for it and I actually found out later that day that I got the movie and I was off to shoot two weeks later. It was the fastest job I've ever gotten."
So what did Craven think of the starlet? He tells Newsweek that Roberts nailed the audition, and it had nothing to do with her Oscar-winning aunt. “The whole thing with Julia, whom I’ve met, never occurred to us beyond the fact it’s interesting she’s her niece," he says.

Kobe Bryant is in hot water with The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation for allegedly saying the word f**got during last night's televised Lakers game.
GLAAD issued the following statement to X17online:
“Discriminatory slurs have no place on or off the court. Professional sports players need to set a better example for young people who use words like this on the playground and in our schools, creating a climate of intolerance and hostility. The LA Lakers have a responsibility to educate their fans about why this word is unacceptable.â€Â
In response, The Lakers organization says, "The Lakers can not confirm that is what Kobe said or not."
After receiving a technical foul during the game, Bryant seemed to be directing the slur towards referee Bennie Adams.
UPDATE: Kobe Bryant issued the following response:
“What I said last night should not be taken literally. My actions were out of frustration during the heat of the game, period. The words expressed do NOT reflect my feelings towards the gay and lesbian communities and were NOT meant to offend anyone.â€Â

Ashley Judd has apologized for the misinformed remarks she made about rap and hip-hop in her new memoir, which apparently struck a nerve with people all over the world.
While discussing an AIDS awareness program she works with in All That Is Bitter and Sweet, Judd wrote, "Along with other performers, YouthAIDS was supported by rap and hip-hop artists like Snoop Dogg and P. Diddy to spread the message...um, who? Those names were a red flag ... As far as I'm concerned, most rap and hip-hop music - with its rape culture and insanely abusive lyrics and depictions of girls and women as 'ho's' - is the contemporary soundtrack of misogyny."
Judd received thousands of angry tweets and stacks of hate mail for her comments, and not only has she issued an apology, but she says she believes she should have done a better job researching her story. In a post on GlobalGrind, Judd writes, "The outcry regarding my remarks, 2 paragraphs of my 400+ page book, regarding hip hop and rap, has been as astounding as it is out of context ... I have looked closely at the feedback I have received about those two paragraphs, and absolutely see your points, and I fully capitulate to your rightness, and again humbly offer my heartfelt amends for not having been able to see the fault in my writing, and not having anticipated it would be painful for so many. Crucial words are missing that could have made a giant difference."

Perhaps this is one of ex-hubby Pete Wentz's heavy metal t-shirts? Either way, we're getting some major SamRo flashbacks!
Ashlee Simpson was spotted picking up plastic crates at Bed Bath and Beyond yesterday, and after moving in with her older sister Jessica in February, it appears as though the singer/actress needs a little help organizing her belongings.
Just two weeks ago Ashlee and Pete were spotted holding hands at a local Starbucks, and after that we've wondered when we would catch the two together again...

Lady Gaga sings about being "Born This Way," and it sounds like the 25-year-old singer is staying true to her lyrics.
In the May issue of Harper's Bazaar Magazine, Lady G opens up about her thoughts on plastic surgery.
Gaga tells the mag;
“I have never had plastic surgery, and there are many pop singers who have. I think that promoting insecurity in the form of plastic surgery is infinitely more harmful than an artistic expression related to body modification.â€Â

Kim Kardashian was working her famous booty off at Tracy Anderson's gym (a favorite of Nicole Richie and Gisele Bundchen's) in Studio City with her sister Kourtney.
Kim recently whined on Twitter, "Why is it that the more I work out the hungrier I am!"
Well, when you burn calories, you get hungry!
Kim recently spoke out about the controversy over her Turkish Cosmopolitan cover:
"I just found out today that I am on the cover of Cosmopolitan Magazine in Turkey this month," she wrote on her website yesterday. "Cosmopolitan Magazine has a number of international editions all around the world that run in various territories, and when I did this shoot for the international covers I had no idea that Turkey was planning to run my story on their cover THIS month, considering Genocide Remembrance Day is this month. My Armenian heritage means a lot to me and I’ve been brought up to be incredibly proud of my family’s background and culture."
