After suffering a recent miscarriage, Lily Allen plans to end this year on a high note.

32-year-old builder and decorator Sam Cooper has proposed to the 25-year-old Smile singer while the two spend time in Bali for the holidays.

A source who witnessed the proposal tells the Daily Mail UK:

"It has been a terrible time for Lily and Sam, but they are totally in love with one another. It all came out of the blue – but Lily was overwhelmed and they are both overjoyed. They can look to the future now."

The source adds, "Lily was telling everyone that she and Sam had just got engaged – they could not keep the smiles off their faces. It couldn’t have been more romantic."

Allen and Cooper went through their emotionally painful miscarriage just last month. The couple have been together since July 2009.

Before doing some serious spending in Beverly Hills, Kim Kardashian popped into her favorite Beverly Hills pampering spot for a little mani/pedi action. A girl has got to keep those nails in check!

Kim K spent plenty of time laughing it up with the girls and of course, choosing that perfect shade for her fingernails and toesies.

Black Swan beauty Natalie Portman is speaking out on the joyous news that she's expecting her first child with fiance and professional ballet dancer Benjamin Millepied.

When asked how she feels about being pregnant, Portman tells Entertainment Weekly:

“I have always kept my private life private but I will say that I am indescribably happy and feel very grateful to have this experience.”

The 29-year-old actress met Millepied while the two worked on the movie, Black Swan ... a role in which Portman has been nominated for a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award.

Our photographer watching from the side tells us: "Orlando was super pissed. He has his moments -- he just gets upset sometimes and doesn't want photographers around. No one was doing anything other than standing on the side of the road taking pictures, but he just didn't want it that day."

Obviously the paps are staked out trying to catch a glimpse of Orlando's pregnant fiancee Miranda Kerr, who's due next month.

Elton John and David Furnish are parents to Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John, born on Christmas day in California via surrogate.

"We are overwhelmed with happiness and joy at this very special moment," John and Furnish said in a joint statement. "Zachary is healthy and doing really well, and we are very proud and happy parents."

This is the first child for the couple who were married in 2005 after 12 years together. A rep for the couple told the mag they Elton and David have no plans to reveal the identity of the surrogate or any details surrounding the arrangement.
