Victoria Beckham and spiffy sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz were proud to support daddy David while he accepted a Lifetime Achievement Award at BBC's Sports Personality of the Year.

While on stage at the LG Arena in Birmingham, UK ... the emotional soccer star had wife Victoria in tears during his acceptance speech.

To his family, Beckham said:

"Of course, I want to thank my wife and my children. Not only has she given me three amazing boys but the support she's given me and she is truly and inspiration for me every single day. So Victoria, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz - thank you."

Shakira also just published a book with Nickelodeon entitled World School Day Adventure as part of the Dora the Explorer series. The Columbian singer says she wants "children from all over the world to know that through knowledge and education one can embark on great adventures."

Tom Cruise and his wife Katie Holmes (who turned 32 yesterday) left their NYC apartment and headed off to a spin class together on Saturday. Later on, the happy couple dined out at ABC Kitchen and left the restaurant hand-in-hand. Today the birthday mom continued her exercise routine with an early morning workout.

Could Katie also be in the Big Apple because she's pondering a return to Broadway in Extremities? Maybe that's why she's working on her fitness so much lately!

How Do You Know opened this weekend and only earned a hugely disappointing $7.6 million, placing it at number eight in the top ten. And according to the Hollywood Reporter, the James L. Brooks rom-com cost $120 mil to make and $15 million of that went to Reese.

So why is the flick a flop? Tron: Legacy also opened this weekend, a PG-rated Disney movie with great special effects and mass appeal. Plus there's the fact that How Do You Know's trailer (and title) explained very little about the film. Which means the only reason to go see it is because Reese herself is in it! Hence the large salary.

Which movie did you see this weekend: Tron or How Do You Know? Going by the numbers, I think it's safe to say it wasn't the latter!

That's right, former teen star turned TV actress Jennifer Love Hewitt was just nominated for her first Golden Globe - Best Performance by an Actress in a television movie, The Client List. In the based-on-a-true-story tale, JLH plays a former beauty queen with money problems that takes a job at a massage parlor... only to learn that she's actually been hired to be a prostitute.
