Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson have separated, according to various online reports.
The couple are reportedly living apart, and sources say the split is amicable. A source tells Us Weekly that it was Johansson who initiated the split. "The big problem with their relationship is the distance," says the source. "They spent a lot of time apart when they are working ... she's been unhappy for a while."
The two got married in September 2008 after a five month engagement, and even though we're heard a rumor last month that there were marital troubles, we never thought they'd actually call it quits!
Think this is just a trial separation? Or will they file for divorce?
UPDATE
The couple has released the following statement:
"After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we've decided to end our marriage. We entered our relationship with love and it's with love and kindness we leave it. While privacy isn't expected, it's certainly appreciated."

And rightfully so! It was pretty obvious that Justin Bieber had no fault in this matter.
Back in October, pop star Bieber was accused of hitting a 12-year-old boy during laser tag at the Planet Lazer Entertainment Center in Richmond, British Columbia.
What followed were various conflicting reports that indicated the boy might have been bullying Bieber and called him a homophobic slur prior to the confrontation.
Now, Corporal Turley of the Richmond Royal Canadian Mounted Police says the following: "This investigation into the incident is now complete and no charges will be forwarded as the evidence collected [doesn't] support doing so."

One of the most hated men in America has a fan in Michael Moore!
The controversial documentary filmmaker has just posted $20,000 to bail WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange out of a London slammer for alleged sex crimes in Sweden. We guess Moore is overlooking Assange's accusations of rape, sexual molestation and illegal use of force in two separate incidents while in Stockholm this summer. No biggie!
True to form, Moore has taken to his blog to share a new mission: do anything to keep WikiLeaks and it's founder "alive and thriving as it continues its work to expose the crimes that were concocted in secret and carried out in our name and with our tax dollars." Sounds like his next film project!
Moore also created a petition: WikiLeaks: Stop The Crackdown where he hopes to reach at least a million signatures by the end of the week:
"We call on you to stop the crackdown on WikiLeaks and its partners immediately. We urge you to respect democratic principles and laws of freedom of expression and freedom of the press. If WikiLeaks and the journalists it works with have violated any laws they should be pursued in the courts with due process. They should not be subjected to an extra-judicial campaign of intimidation. We urgently need a massive public outcry to defend our basic democratic freedoms. Sign the petition to stop the crackdown -- let's reach 1 million voices this week!"
Hmmm ... good luck with that one. Unfortunately for Assange, he's not in the clear just yet. A lawyer representing Swedish prosecutors immediately filed an appeal so he will have to remain jail until the next hearing, which should be within 48 hours.

Michael Jackson's album Michael is out today, and producer Teddy Riley is saying sorry to fans who may think the King of Pop's vocals sound a bit artificial.
Riley, who says fans are "still hearing the true Michael Jackson" on the tracks, adds:
"I had to do more processing to the voice, which is why people were asking about the authenticity of his voice. We had to do what we had to do to make ... his voice work with the actual music. With the Melodyne we actually move the (pitch) up which is the reason why some of the vibrato sounds a little off or processed, over-processed.
We truly apologize for that happening ... I know it's great material, I know that it needs to be out, I know that the legacy needs to continue because he's such a great person, and there's more to come."
Riley worked on three of the songs from Michael. He previously worked with Jackson back in 1991 on the album Dangerous.

After performing his own stunts on mega-action flicks like X-Men, Wolverine, and Van Helsing, it's really too bad a special effect for the Oprah Winfrey show banged him up! At least it was for the Australian Outback Special!
Aussie native Hugh Jackman decided to perform a little zip-lining stunt as part of the Oprah Australia special, which seemed like a good idea at the time, until Jackman forgot to pull the brake! Whoops!
The whole thing was caught on live TV from the Sydney Opera House to the Oprah stage which sounds safe, but with all the light rigging set-up for the show, Jackman crashed right into it, leaving his eye bloody and black. Paramedics rushed to stitch him up right then and there. We hope she keeps that in!
Fortunately for Hugh Jackman, the show must go on! The action star had a positive attitude about the fiasco; he told Oprah: "That was so much fun, until the end. I came down waving to everyone, looking over Sydney Harbor, saw my dad, the kids and you [Winfrey], went to pull the brake and then boing." Lawsuit! ... Kidding!
Jackman was given a glass of one of Aussie's best and most expensive red wines to calm himself down, which definitely helped because he bounced right back into a his lesson on eating Vegemite. Even with a stitched-up black eye, Jackman prepared the black yeast breakfast spread right on a biscuit for the queen of talk, who said she "liked it."
