Josh Duhamel was kicked off a flight headed from New York City to Kentucky today after refusing to turn off his BlackBerry before takeoff, according to online reports.

After a flight attendant asked the 38-year-old actor to turn off his mobile device, he reportedly laughed and made rude remarks, which prompted the airline staff to take the jet back to the gate, where two officers boarded the plane and removed him.

A rep for the actor said he was texting about his flight being delayed and that he's "sorry" about the incident.

The 35-year-old LA Galaxy soccer star was in Switzerland this week with Prime Minister David Cameron and Prince William in support of England's bid to host the 2018 World Cup.

Beckham said of his involvement: "Hopefully I will make a difference. We are going to Fifa because we need to tell them why we feel it's the right thing for us to get the World Cup."

Unfortunately for Beckham, Fifa announced Russia will host the 2018 World Cup -- a first for the country.
