We were shocked to hear that Billy Ray Cyrus filed for divorce last week from his wife Tish of 17 years, but the reason for the breakup of Miley's parents may be even more shocking: Tish was allegedly having an affair with rocker Bret Michaels!

It all started this past February, when Miley recorded the duet, "Nothing to Lose" with the 47-year-old.

Michaels apparently became "close with the entire family," a source tells Us, but not quite as close as he did with Tish!

In fact, Tish even pushed Miley to record "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" on Can't Be Tamed! In June, Miley told Ryan Seacrest, "Every time we go to New York we have to see Mamma Mia! for like the 12th time because my mom loves it, and that's kinda how "Every Rose" came about... she made me go to Rock of Ages, too! And my mom said 'I love that song, I forgot how much I loved it' and so then I did it."

"It was a professional relationship that turned into something more," says a source of the affair. And, "Billy Ray was completely unaware of what was going on."

Both Michaels rep as well as a spokesperson for Tish deny the dalliance, but there has to be SOME reason for the sudden split. And somehow, Tish and Bret just kind of make sense, don't they?

Billy Ray is asking for joint custody of the couple's minor children, Miley, who will be 18 later this month, Braison, 16, and Noah, 10.

If only these two had been BFFs! Robert Downey Jr. is hitting the talk show circuit to promote Due Date and last night David Letterman asked him about Charlie Sheen. "We were in high school together," said RDJ. "We didn’t really hang out. I mean, it sounds like we could have really partied."

And does Downey have any words of wisdom for the fellow actor? "He's a grown man, what am I gonna say? The only advice I would give him is, you know, don't get arrested."

Demi Lovato's mother Dianna DeLaGarza made her first public appearance this morning after it was announced that her daughter was admitted to a treatment facility for "physical and emotional issues", but she had no comment on the matter. When photographers asked her to send Demi their blessings, she said, "I will."

Harpo is blasting online reports claiming that Oprah is purposely airing a molestation-related episode this Friday right before Monday's Jackson tell-all episode.

In a statement to X17online exclusively, Harpo says:

"There is no connection whatsoever between the two shows."

As X17online first reported, the Jackson's tell-all episode featuring Joe, Katherine and Michael's children, will air next Monday. On Friday, Oprah will air an episode called 200 Adult Men Who Were Molested Come Forward.

Oprah's rep adds, "This is purely coincidental."

Love her (we do!), hate her, say what you want about her, but we're definitely digging Taylor Momsen's latest music video with her band, The Pretty Reckless. She may spout off in interviews and wear questionable attire from time to time, but you can't deny how talented she is...love love LOVE her voice!

MTV is taking heat for a portion of the Jersey Shore Reunion Special in which Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino is seen flirting with a person in a club ... and the castmates are heard saying, "if you have to think about it, it's a tranny. Stay away."

While showing this clip, MTV also cut to Jersey Shore's Ronnie wearing a dress. The host of the special, Julissa Bermudez then says, "Who was that tranny? What's up with that?!"

MTV issued the following apology to the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation:

"We appreciate GLAAD voicing concern about the “Jersey Shore” reunion special. The segment in question was certainly not meant to be insensitive, but in retrospect we realize that it was offensive to some viewers. We sincerely apologize."

The network has also agreed to edit out the offensive material from future re-runs of the reunion special.

Disney has issued a statement in support of their Camp Rock star Demi Lovato's choice to enter rehab to “seek medical treatment for emotional and physical issues."

"We support Demi's decision to put her health first and we send her our best wishes," a company spokesperson told X17online.

Lovato, who said she was a victim of bullying, recently wrote an open letter as part of the Pacer Center's campaign, Teens Against Bullying:

“People say sticks and stones may break your bones but names can never hurt you, but that’s not true. Words can hurt. They hurt me. Things were said to me that I still haven’t forgotten.”

Reports claim Demi entered a facility to treat issues with eating and cutting. She withdrew from the Camp Rock Tour with the Jonas Brothers to do so and the concert's organizers at LiveNation confirm she will not be replaced.

Former Dancing With the Stars champs Brooke Burke, Kristi Yamaguchi and Apolo Anton Ohno were joined by past alums like Erin Andrews, Kelly Osbourne and Stacy Kiebler and current hopefuls like Brandy and Rick Fox last night to celebrate the show's 200th episode at Boulevard 3.

It was so amazing to see the former champs return to the DWTS stage, but the current crop of Season 11ers definitely gave them a run for their money on the show last night!
