But the big question is, will Tom Cruise return as Maverick in the sequel?

While speaking to HitFix about his new thriller Unstoppable, Tony Scott confirmed that he’s on board to direct Top Gun 2 with producer Jerry Bruckheimer.

Scott will analyze the modern day Air Force in the sequel: "These computer geeks -- these kids play war games in a trailer in Fallon, Nevada and if we ever went to war or were in the Middle East or the Far East or wherever it is, these guys can actually fly drones. They are unmanned aircraft. They operate them and then they party all night."

As far as Tom Cruise's Maverick character, it's still unclear what role he might or might not play in the new flick.

And fans are going to have to wait a while because director Scott also confirmed that this wouldn't be his next film. So Top Gun 2 is still a few years off!

Looking thinner than ever, David Arquette spent Sunday with his adorable daughter Coco at West Hollywood's infamous pumpkin patch.

With her face painted like a cute kitty, Coco was definitely getting into the Halloween spirit. Unfortunately, we can't say the same about David, who looks as if the stress of his split with Courteney Cox is getting to him.
