Mel Gibson will not be portraying a tattoo artist in the upcoming Hangover 2, according to the movie's director, Todd Phillips.

Reports claim that the rest of the cast wasn't happy about Gibson being included in the film ... in light of his recent domestic issues with Oksana Grigorieva.

Phillips, who will be directing Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis in the sequel, just released the following statement about Mel's departure from the film:

"I thought Mel would have been great in the movie and I had the full backing of Jeff Robinov and his team. But I realize filmmaking is a collaborative effort, and this decision ultimately did not have the full support of my entire cast and crew."

Guess majority wins.

Last night Jayde Nicole dined at Katsuya before attending the launch party for the Redbury in Hollywood, and she was looking great, but MTV The Hills Aftershow hostess Jessi Cruickshank wasn't having the same luck! As the ladies left dinner and headed to SBE's hot new hotel, Jayde's gal pal took a bit of a tumble on Hollywood Blvd. A little too much booze or a combination of a slippery sidewalk and sky high shoes?

Whatevs, at least Jayde and her gorgeous gams looked amazing!

Kelly Preston, who will be welcoming her baby boy with John Travolta next month, is starring alongside Kevin Spacey in the upcoming drama, Casino Jack.

47-year-old Preston began filming the movie, about the rise and fall of DC lobbyist and con man Jack Abramoff, only six months after the death of her 16-year-old son, Jett.

Casino Jack premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last month, however it hits theaters this December.

Benji and Joel Madden were spotted dining at Cipriani's in London with their pal Heidi last night, and the boys looked a bit anxious for some reason. Maybe they're worried about the upcoming release of their new album Cardiology? MTV is ready to push the envelope yet again with the upcoming show, Skins ... based on a popular British TV series.

Disney has released yet another poster for Tron Legacy, and it pays homage to the first film's promo pic, featuring Kevin Flynn (played by Jeff Bridges) reaching up for a light disc. In the updated version, Kevin's son Sam (Garrett Hedlund) strikes the same pose with the super sexy Quorra (Olivia Wilde) by his side, but we see way more of the characters and their futuristic suits, which reportedly cost $60,000 each! Given that the costume budget for the film was $13 million, you shouldn't be that surprised...

Tron Legacy is set to hit theaters on December 17th, and we're already growing impatient...can't wait for this one!

Looks like Kanye West may have been the one who stirred up the controversy surrounding his new cover art for his album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. The rapper had tweeted earlier this week that Wal-Mart banned the provocative cover from their stores. However, the retail giant is denying they've even seen the cover.

A rep for Wal-Mart released the following statement:

“We’re excited about Kanye West’s new album and we look forward to carrying it in our stores on November 22nd. As always, it’s our standard practice to carry the edited parental advisory version. We did not reject the cover artwork and it was never presented to us to view.”

Kanye's tweet certainly gained worldwide attention for his upcoming album, which shows a monster-version of Kanye having sex with a naked woman ... with wings and a tail.

The rapper had tweeted, "Yooooo they banned my album cover! They don’t want me chilling on the couch with my phoenix! So Nirvana can have a naked human being on they cover but I can't have a PAINTING of a monster with no arms and a polka dot tail and wings."

Guess Kanye got what Kanye always wants ... more publicity. But it's going to be interesting as to how Wal-Mart will cover the risque image when it's sitting on their shelves.
