Kim Kardashian may be happy to be single for the moment, but living her life in front of the cameras doesn't exactly give her much of a choice.

"It's definitely hard to date when you live your life on a reality show," she told USA Today. "How do you say to someone, 'Hey, are you cool with dating me on my show? Are you comfortable being on the show?' It's really hard. I'm definitely more open to dating when I'm not filming, when it's our off season."

In fact, her fame was to blame for the split between her and NFL player Reggie Bush, and also one of the reasons things didn't work out between her and Miles Austin.

But what better city to be single in than New York? Kim, who's currently shooting the spinoff show Kim And Kourtney Take New York in the Big Apple, said, "This was like, for me, the perfect time to come to New York because I'm single," she says. "I just felt like I kind of wanted a fresh start."

Don't worry, Kim, there are plenty of single professional athletes in New York!

Steve Auer, the Budapest-based director of operations for Raleigh Studios, paid a visit to Angelina Jolie yesterday on the set of her directorial debut of a film about the Bosnian War.

A source close to the production tells us Auer is contemplating location options with Jolie after news recent Bosnian officials denied the production a film permit. The official reason for not issuing the permit was that the application had not included a copy of the script, as was requested. However local reports claim members of the Bosnian government and local activists groups were responding to controversy involving how rape victims are being portrayed in the yet-untitled film.

A source on set tells X17online exclusively:

"Angelina clearly looked upset while walking with the Raleigh Studio executive. The two were speaking seriously and there were only a few top members of the production within earshot of them. After Auer left, Angelina was not in a good mood. Clearly this trouble is taking a big toll on her."

Angelina, herself, released the following statement:

"There are many twists in the plot that address the sensitive nature of the relationship between the main characters, and that will be revealed once the film is released. My hope is that people will hold judgment until they have seen the film."

In response to that statement, Bakira Hasecic, president of the Women Victims of War association in Sarajevo, claims "in the film, a victim is really falling in love with her torturer," and for that reason she believes no filming should be done in Bosnia.

Our source on set adds, "Steve is here to find a way to film the scenes, originally planned for Sarajevo, in Budapest. The studio is nervous this could end up costing them a lot of money if they don't find a plan B quickly."

When X17online contacted Raleigh Studios, they replied, "Thanks, we don't comment."

Jon Gosselin is taking his fight to protect his children's privacy public, posting a very long and involved statement on his Twitter after a judge recently denied his plea to take his children off the air.

Even though Jon was once a willing participant in having his eight kids star with him and then-wife Kate on their hit TLC show Jon & Kate Plus 8, now that Kate is embarking on a show of her own, featuring the children, he's had a change of heart.

In a statement, the out-of-work dad says:

"As you may or may not be aware, I have been working for some time to remove my children from television. I do not believe being on TV is beneficial to any of them. They are no longer toddlers that are oblivious to what is going on around them. They are now six and ten, in school and desperately in need of a normal life.

Each of them has experienced negative effects of having their lives so public. Some are struggling with emotional and/or behavioral issues. My goal for my children is for them to have a normal childhood, and gain back their much deserved privacy. This is not about money, this is about my children. No amount of money is worth the price my children are paying. You cannot put a price on childhood. Money comes and goes, but you only have one childhood.

For those questions about money and support, I can say I am supporting my children to the best of my ability. All parties involved know the truth about this. I am and have been actively seeking employment. I have been barred from accepting entertainment deals that would generate income for my family due to contractual obligations. I am also actively looking for a job outside of the entertainment industry and so far, have not secured a position. In the mean time, I have been focusing on spending time with my children and providing a safe, stable, normal and private environment for them!

On October 13, 2010, I went to court to act in the best interest of my children- to remove them from television. The judge respectfully denied my plea, and granted filming rights to their mother. I honor the judge’s decision, but I do not support it. I will not stop fighting to remove my children from television. It is not a child’s job to support themselves, or a lifestyle, they need to be kids. I would like to apologize to my friends, family, and especially my children for not taking a stand earlier in my life and not questioning my decisions to have our lives documented and displayed. I will have to answer to my children for the rest of my life. I will have to live with this guilt the rest of my life. I am truly sorry!"

Jon sounds incredibly sincere about the fact that he's just trying to protect his children. But we can't help but think that he may have felt differently were he allowed to launch his own show starring his adorable eight children...

Country star Taylor Swift has revealed that she's in talks with the folks at Fox about using some of her music in a future episode of Glee!

"There have been conversations," Taylor told Zap2it. "And when those happen with all these new opportunities, it usually comes down to scheduling. I'm a huge fan of the show, and I think it showcases music in a great way, so I would be really excited if anything were to happen there."

No word on whether or not Taylor would also be appearing in the show, but after featuring stars like Britney Spears and Lady Gaga, why not add a country act to the long list of A-list participants?
