Former plastic surgery victim turned hottest comic in America, Kathy Griffin (who turns 50 in just over a month), strutted her stuff outside Mexican restaurant Red O on Melrose Tuesday night - let's hope she had Britney's episode of Glee TiVo'ing at home because THAT was a gift from baby Jesus...
Meanwhile, Forbes just labeled 2010 as The Year of the Female Comic, calling out names like Chelsea Handler, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Ellen DeGeneres, Sarah Silverman, Kristen Wiig and, of course, Kathy Griffin.

Wendy Starland, longtime friend of Lady Gaga aka Stefani Germanotta, says that she is responsible for the singer's success and deserves thousands of dollars in back pay.
Starland has filed a lawsuit against the singer's ex-boyfriend Rob Fusari. She claims that when he asked for a "unique female singer, under the age of 25, who could be the female equivalent of the lead singer of the band the Strokes," she delivered Gaga.
In the legal papers filed at the Newark Federal Court, Starland says that she cut a deal with Fusari back in 2005 in which he promised her big-time profits if she found him a female singer that fit exactly what he was looking for.
This is the second time Gaga has faced a lawsuit from someone wanting money for the origin of her image. Fusari, himself, filed a $30.5 million suit against Germanotta claiming he crafted Gaga's image since 2006 ... and also had a hand in co-writing songs like Paparazzi and Beautiful, Dirty, Rich. Gaga, in turn, filed a countersuit saying that the contract she signed with Fusari was "unlawful." Both sides have since dropped their suits, but no word on whether a settlement was reached.
As for Starland's suit, she's seeking more than $75,000, as well as half of Fusari's profits that he's collected over the years from Lady Gaga's success.

Talk about the big O!
Mel Gibson's ex-girlfriend/baby mama Oksana Grigorieva will reportedly sit down with Oprah Winfrey, according to a source for Us mag.
Winfrey, who was battling 60 Minutes for the highly coveted interview, will chat with the Russian singer about her tumultuous relationship with Gibson, and though a rep for Harpo told X17online there was "nothing to announce at this time," this would certainly be a way to go out with a bang! As you know, this is Oprah's 25th season hosting daytime television.

Last night Jessica Alba and husband Cash Warren dined at BOA Steakhouse in West Hollywood, and these two weren't exactly striking a pose for photogs Heidi and Spencer style, but they didn't seem to mind the flashbulb frenzy as they left the restaurant. Ahh, what a nice way to end a romantic evening meal!

According to an annual survey by the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, HBO's mega hit True Blood has the most most gay characters on television.
GLAAD president Jarrett Barrios said in a statement, "The increase in lesbian, gay and bisexual characters on primetime television not only reflects the shift in American culture toward greater awareness and understanding of our community but also a new industry standard that a growing number of creators and networks are adopting. The recent critical and commercial success of shows like 'Modern Family' and 'Glee' clearly indicate that mainstream audiences embrace gay characters and want to see well-crafted stories about our lives."
ABC leads the other broadcast networks with 11 gay characters while Fox now has five. NBC was the only network that declined from last year, down to three and CBS is in last place with one gay character. HBO has the largest number of gay characters, followed by ABC Family, Showtime, Syfy, TNT, FX, Starz and Teen Nick. Across all the networks, the percentage of gay characters has rise, representing 3.9% of all TV characters. With 35 characters total, that's up 40% from last year. That's certainly something to be proud of!

Nigel Lythgoe, executive producer and judge of FOX's So You Think You Can Dance, is back in charge of American Idol ... and already, he's making the show's new judges Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler feel right at home.
Here's a first look at the new panel of judges on AI in their official seats ... with Randy Jackson being the only remaining original judge. I'm sure it's going to be extra intimidating for those contestants ... now that such superstars are sitting at the table.
Along with this photo taken at the New Jersey auditions, Nigel Lythoe tweets:
"It's great to be back on American Idol. The judges were great."
Lythgoe came to the US from the UK back in 2002 to produce American Idol. In 2008, he left to join SYTYCD.
The new AI season will begin airing in January. We can't wait to see JLo dish out that tough love!

David and Victoria Beckham are suing escort Irma Nici for nearly $25 million, and a friend close to the couple tells The Daily Mail that they will donate the entire sum to their children's charity, the Victoria and David Beckham Charitable Trust.
Nici was served with legal documents yesterday in NYC after claiming she slept with the soccer superstar, and the friend added, "Any cash retrieved from this liar will help sick kids. David doesn't want a penny of this woman's dirty money. But that doesn't mean some good can't come out of this."
The documents allege libel, slander and intentional infliction of emotional distress, and the suit is said to demand a jury trial over the claims printed in In Touch Weekly, after the publication was warned that the claims were untrue. Nici has been unable to provide any evidence to support her story that Beckham paid her thousands of dollars for sex.
The friend continued, "She certainly won't be profiting out of trying to ruin a high-profile family. She's finished." However, the Mail says that Nici reportedly hit Beckham and his legal team with charges for malicious conduct, and she told the paper, "I very much look forward to my day in court and the opportunity to tell the truth. I will be completely vindicated and Mr Beckham will be seen for the manipulative whore he is."
