Gotta love Ri and her flaming red hair! The "Love The Way You Lie" singer is in the Big Apple - Rihanna dazzled outside of Da Silvano earlier today, greeted with fans and then headed back to her hotel.

In other Ri news, the singer will release her "Only Girl (In The World)" music vid tomorrow, and her fifth album Loud drops in November.

Lindsay Lohan - who just checked into rehab for the fifth time - is being considered for the lead in an action movie entitled Escaping the Game, reports FOX News (via Pop Tarts).

Lohan is apparently "very interested" in the role, which echoes Angelina Jolie's character in Salt.

So what's Escaping the Game about? A sexy ex-CIA agent stranded on a star-studded island, helping stars escape the “game” of crazy Hollywood living. Sounds right up Lindsay's alley! I wonder what the tone of this story is though...

Writer/producer Nathan Folks believes Lindsay "is perfect for the role, and because of her experience as a tormented starlet, she is ideal to play the role in this very high concept story."

But what if she gets tempted by bad habits during filming? "You hire a full-time assistant that their entire job is to make sure the star does not do any drugs or alcohol during production, and you put their salary in an escrow account for the entire duration of the production," says Folks.

Katy Perry and Russell Brand have just purchased a two bedroom, two bathroom penthouse in New York's trendy Tribeca (where they can count Beyonce and Jay-Z as neighbors) for a cool $2.7 million.

The couple, who already own a multi-million dollar home that Russell bought for them in Los Angeles, are calling the swanky 1500 square foot condo a "crash pad" to avoid paying income taxes in both states.


The NYC apartment boasts:

• A second-level loft-style master bedroom with a small attached bath that opens onto the terrace but contains no closets.


• A small bedroom downstairs with tons of closets and a skylight (but no actual window.)


• A living room with built in cabinets to hide the electronics.


• A small, but well equipped kitchen with stainless steel cabinets.


• Exposed beams in the dining room.


• A large limestone bathroom downstairs that opens onto the kitchen and living room.


• A laundry room that only fits stacked machines.

And even though Russell had a recent run-in with the paparazzi in LA which resulted in his arrest, he elected to purchase the pad in a non-doorman building. Hmmm...

Heidi Klum was one of the many stars who attended the amfAR Milano 2010 Auction during Fashion Week, and we also spotted Leona Lewis and Alessandra Ambrosio at the event as well. The goal of the auction was to raise money for the organization, which "spreads awareness of HIV/AIDS, promotes HIV prevention, and endeavors to engage all communities in the fight against AIDS."

Naomi Campbell graces the latest issue of Interview mag, and the 40-year-old British beauty poses with a naked male model in a series of shots that make her out to be a monster of sorts.

Surprisingly, Naomi is humble during parts of her interview, and she reveals that at the start of her career, her older friends in the industry would stick up for her when it came to booking shows. "My friends and comrades stuck up for me -- and that doesn’t happen in fashion. I will never forget that. I don’t forget what people do. No matter how many years go by, I always remember," she says.

However, when asked about her personal life, the snippy supermodel was rather abrupt with the reporter, as evident from this icy exchange:

Reporter: It’s interesting, though, because over the course of your career, fashion has become much more global. You’ve been all over the world. You’ve been to China a few times now. You’ve certainly been to Russia.

Campbell: Well, I live in Russia.

Reporter: You do, because your boyfriend is Russian.

Campbell: I don’t discuss my private life.

The self-help book focuses on The Power of Rest’s 30 Day, step-by-step program which "helps you actively direct all that rebuilding and regrowth. Each day you learn new, enjoyable techniques, most of which can be done in less than a minute – anytime and anywhere you choose."


X17online exclusively spoke with Dr. Edlund to hear his hopes for the 24-year-old actress who is currently in rehab:

"I just hope it’s useful for her. Rest is rejuvenation. It's a way for people to not just get centered, but to live with stability. She’s a young person, and if she learns to rejuvenate herself, then she'll be fully capable of coming back like Robert Downey Jr. did. She’s got to get off drugs. She has to connect with someone larger than herself. It’s really hard when you're addicted to get back to a normal life. Lindsay needs structure to be the creative person she once was. This is a crazy, crazy life ... one that has been in the public eye since she was a little girl. I really want her to recognize what her body is meant to do. Physical, mental and social rest: she needs all three. I’d be more than willing to talk to her to help get her life back."

Thirty days of rest is the focus ... just about the amount of time until Lindsay's next court date on October 22nd. We'll see if Lilo takes Dr. Edlund's advice.
