Jeremy Renner will be going head-to-head with Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible 4.

Reports are claiming that Renner, who scored an Oscar nomination for his role in The Hurt Locker, will be playing an equally important role to Cruise ... not a supporting role.

Sources claim that Paramount is gearing Renner to take over as a possible replacement for the Mission: Impossible franchise.

Renner is certainly on a role! Up next, he's starring opposite Ben Affleck and Blake Lively in The Town ... and he also signed on to play Hawkeye in The Avengers.

M:I4 will hit theaters in December 2011.

Kelly Osbourne, who doesn't have the most traditional style sense, may not have been an obvious choice to co-host E!'s new series, Fashion Police, but if she keeps wearing chic little outfits like this, we'll never give her a ticket!
