Miley Cyrus and her Australian beau Liam Hemsworth have called it quits, Hemsworth's rep confirms to X17online. Guess he found out the hard way that Miss Miley, 17, can't be tamed!

The teen queen met Liam, 20, last year on the set of The Last Song. Since then, the two have been inseparable ... frequently taking their dogs for a walk around her Toluca Lake neighborhood.

Cyrus has admitted that many of the songs on her latest album, Can't Be Tamed, were inspired by her relationship with Hemsworth.

Miley's rep has not been available for comment.
