Katie Holmes, Josh Duhamel and Malin Ackerman of the Romantics all pulled a paycheck from J. Crew in what was the first film-fashion marketing deal of its kind.

The preppy clothing retailer is a major sponsor of the new film which made its debut at the Sundance Film Festival in January but currently has no official release date. The movie's about seven close friends who reunite for the wedding of two of their friends (Duhamel and Anna Paquin). Only problem is, the bride and the maid of honor (Holmes) have a history of fighting over the groom.

The cast wears J. Crew clothing in the film, including the retailer's bridal range.

It should be noted that Katie designs her own fashion label, Holmes & Yang. The pieces can be found in Barney's and at other major retailers.

American Idol star Adam Lambert is looking to start a new trend at concerts ... he dove into the audience at his Provident, RI show and proceeded to make out with two of his fans!

Michael Lohan responded to our recent report about Lindsay's attorney meeting with the judge in an effort to reduce her time in rehab at UCLA Medical Center by saying -- he hope it happens.

The concerned father who has been pushing for Lindsay to get help in rehab is now speaking out, telling X17online he thinks Lindsay needs different help than what she's getting at UCLA Medical Center.

Here's what he has to say:

After reading your latest post about Lindsay's release and plans thereafter, I have to say that I agree with her lawyer, Shawn Holley, the doctors and (I can't believe I am saying this), even Dina, that Lindsay SHOULD be released from UCLA's drug program.
The reasons being, UCLA's program does NOT offer the treatment(s) Lindsay needed or needs. (Which I was saying from the beginning). They said said she was bi-polar and addicted to meth, (both which I said were untrue), and now they agree with me! Gee Wiz!

What Judge Revel did, was basically sentence Lindsay to more jail time because UCLA's program is like any medical unit in any jail or prison. Sure, they might have gotten her off the prescription drugs, but they haven't offered ANY therapy, which is IMPERATIVE in successful recovery.

Once more, Lindsay doesn't need to be communicating with Matthew Wilder about his exploitative and provocative movie, while she is in rehab, and supposed to be focusing on herself ( NOT her career).

While his movie is sick, and he is even sicker, what really sickens me is the fact that he is more concerned with using her for his benefit, rather than caring about her getting her life in order first.

What rehab allows this kind of conduct? What caring people would be concerned with Lindsay's career and "getting back to work" rather than focusing on her stability and sobriety?

YES, Lindsay should get out of UCLA, BUT she NEEDS to go into a program and get FAMILY therapy, to resolve the issues that caused her problems.

Comedienne Chelsea Handler of her own show Chelsea Lately will emcee the MTV VMA awards this year, broadcast live from Los Angeles on September 12.

Handler, 35, replaces English comic/actor Russell Brand. Handler joked on tonight's show: "Everyone knows that when you think of rap music and hip-hop you think of Chelsea Lately. And that's why I will be hosting them."
