Now that numerous tapes of Mel Gibson ranting and raving to ex-girlfriend slash babymama Oksana Grigorieva have been released to the public - not to mention the fact that the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department has launched its own domestic violence investigation - should the Hollywood actor consider making a formal apology to the mother of his child?

And beyond that, should Mel officially retire from the biz? Not that anyone would probably want to work with him now anyway!

But what about his starring role in the Jodie Foster comedy The Beaver? The pic is completed yet currently has no set release date. Poor Jodie! How's she gonna market that? Especially considering that it features Gibson in a somewhat funny role!

Meanwhile, Oksana herself claims she has "no idea" who released the audio recordings of her ex, but promises she will soon reveal "everything" about Mel Gibson.

Let's just hope these two can resolve their issues in court without getting the police involved... again.

Director Affleck filmed all of Phoenix's bizarre outbursts and public appearances for the doc, which many believed to just be a big hoax.
