When we think of female action stars, Angelina Jolie is certainly the first name that comes to mind, and with her latest flick Salt, it seems like the 35-year-old Oscar winner is also helping break down gender barriers in Hollywood.

Jolie was paid a whopping $20 million for the action film which was originally supposed to star Tom Cruise, but the movie was rewritten just for her. Salt producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura tells The Hollywood Reporter, "It's definitely unusual that a female has become an action star. But it's a funny thing. She's not a female action star; she's an action star. She's really the first female to transcend gender. I don't think it's occurred before."

Over the past 10 years, Jolie has starred in five action blockbusters (Wanted, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and Gone in 60 Seconds) that averaged $124 million in domestic grosses, and globally, those grosses add up to nearly $1.5 billion.

Only Angelina could save the world, be a mother to six kids and help erase gender inequality in the movie industry!

Don't worry, it's not permanent!

The heiress is still going to meetings and shopping up a storm in Paris, and she just tweeted this pic of herself attempting to go incognito. C'mon P, we'd recognize you anywhere -- especially when you look just as sexy as a brunette!

Michael Lohan couldn't be happier that his daughter, Lindsay, is now in rehab. However, he wishes Dina would have made this happen sooner.

Lohan tells X17online exclusively:

"Why is that I had to cry from the mountain for Lindsay to listen to me, and now finally she is doing what I said? None of this would have happened, if Lindsay and Dina had. I was telling Dina and Lindsay this PRIVATELY for years now. I just pray that they implement everything else I said, like getting clean off ALL meds, asking the court to go to rehab first and then reevaluate Lindsay's incarceration, cleaning house and picking ALL new friends and management, and FINALLY that DINA put her motives aside and she go to counseling with Lindsay and me. I think Mr Shapiro will agree with my suggestions, since unfortunately, he has been down this road as well."

The sober living house was started by the famed OJ Simpson attorney after he lost his son Brent to the disease of chemical dependence in 2005.

Lindsay was visited yesterday by her mom Dina, sister Ali, her ex Samantha Ronson, her assistant Eleanor, and her rumored-to-be new girlfriend Eilat Anschel.

Eleanor brought in pillows and bags from Blick art supply, a case of Sprite and toilet paper. Sam showed up around 10 pm and stayed for 45 minutes.

Shapiro still has not confirmed he will represent Lindsay in a possible appeal to Judge Marsha Revel's 90-day jail term sentence for Lohan's violation of probation. But is it his plan to get her into rehab so the court feels she's making an effort to get better so that Revel will reduce the jail term or possibly reverse it in favor of an in-patient sobriety program?

The Sun has gotten their hands on one of Lindsay Lohan's new songs, and she's not likely to win a Grammy for this unique and amazing melody, but it's not half bad! However, the lyrics are what REALLY caught our attention -- in the chorus Lilo sings, "Hit by a train, falling from a building, heartbreak from you would be like drinking deadly poison, oh, I'm too young to die, I don't want to die."

Lilo is definitely too young to die, but what's with the depressing breakup songs? Cheer up Lilo, you're going to have plenty of ladies keeping you company in jail!

Well, more like Brody -- apparently the Canadian punk/pop princess isn't too keen on the idea, but a source for In Touch Weekly says that she's so enamored with the Hills hunk, she's thinking about it.

“She’s in love with him, but isn’t sure about it, yet she doesn’t want to tell him no," the source says. “Brody came up with the idea for a reality show, and he’s begging Avril to do it."

With her hair done up and makeup on, the pop princess was looking like she's getting back to the old Britney!
