Attorney Stuart V. Goldberg, reported to have been retained by Lindsay Lohan to repeal her 90-day jail sentence, tells X17online exclusively that he did not show interest in representing Lindsay for the money .... instead his "sole purpose was to help her."

Goldberg, who practices law in Chicago, adds:

"I came out because I noticed the spiral equilibrium that was taking place. I came to give her advice. Due to the totality of the situation, I recommended Robert Shapiro."

Robert Shapiro was part of the defense team that successfully defended O.J. Simpson back in 1994 when the athlete was charged with the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her boyfriend Ronald Goldman. As for reports that claim Goldberg quit because Lilo couldn't afford him, he reveals to us:

"The fact that I decided not to take on the case was not because of a pro bono issue. Although, I was not interested in what I would be getting paid."

Goldberg confirms that to his knowledge, Shapiro has accepted Lindsay's case. Calls to Mr. Shapiro's office have not yet been returned.

Apparently the Jersey Shore's Snooki is so consumed with her own fake celebrity that she doesn't recognize a real celebrity when she hears one!

In between shooting in Miami and heading back to the Shore, Snooki, J-WOWW, Vinny and Pauly D made a little stopover in LA, where they headed to Madeo for Italian food (what else?)

Last night Lindsay and her ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson reunited for a romantic dinner in Los Angeles.

The former lovebirds headed to sushi restaurant Matsuhisa, which was a favorite of the girls' when they were still together.

Afterward, Samantha went on to Drai's alone, while Lindsay went back home.

Even though they had a rather contentious breakup and Samantha wanted nothing to do with Lindsay for months after, their relationship has been thawing as of late. Samantha even tweeted a nice happy birthday message to her former flame and defended the soon-to-be jailbird on Twitter. After Joan Rivers criticized Lindsay's R-Rated manicure, Sam wrote, "Hey Joan Rivers- you have collagen older than Lindsay, pick on someone your own age, oh wait, I guess people that old can't hear. #bully"

As for Lindsay, she never seemed to have gotten over Sam. She's tweeted at her ex non-stop since the breakup, and on Bravo's Double Exposure, when someone commented on how beautiful she looked, her response was, "I wish you'd tell Sam that."

Could this mini-reunion mean the girls may be getting back together? They've still got a week before Lindsay has to turn herself in!

Angelina Jolie talks to Cynthia McFadden for a Nightline special about her upcoming film Salt and reveals a little bit about the Jolie-Pitt household in the mornings -- how she and Brad serve breakfast to the kids, "bartender"-style. She she's better at disciplining the girls and Brad, the boys (because the girls just have to "bat their eyes" with daddy and it's all over).

Jolie says she never wanted to be a Bond girl but she DID want to be Bond -- and we wonder where Shiloh gets her tomboy ways! Angelina told Reuters in a separate interview she finds Shiloh's style "fascinating" and said she would never "force somebody to be something they are not." The actress said, "Children should be allowed to express themselves in whatever way they wish without anybody judging them because it is an important part of their growth. Society always has something to learn when it comes to the way we judge each other, label each other. We have far to go."

In Salt, Jolie plays a CIA officer wrongly accused of being a Russian spy. To hide, she disguises herself as a man. Of the role, she says, "It was fascinating. The stunt guys I usually hang out talking to didn't want to hang out with me. The girls didn't know how to respond ... there was something about him [her cross-dressing character] that kind of freaked the whole crew out."

All this "freaking out" just makes me want to see the movie!

Officials in Switzerland have thrown out a request by the US to extradite director Roman Polanski to face charges stemming from a 1977 incident in which he had sex with a 13-year-old girl.

A spokesperson for the Swiss Justice Ministry said: "The reason for the decision lies in the fact that it was not possible to exclude with the necessary certainty a fault in the US extraditionary request."

Polanski has been under house arrest at his vacation home in Gstaad since he was arrested last September en route to a film festival in Switzerland.

The director is expected to now return to his family in France.
