Jesse James is trying to resume his normal life, getting the kids off to school this morning with their mother Karla.

James' ex-wife picked up the former couple's children, Jesse Jr. and Chandler, at Jesse's Huntington Beach home just an hour ago, to give them a ride to school.

An X17 photographer on the scene tells us: "Jesse looked REALLY depressed. Up until now he always seemed angry and he was sick of photographers being around him. Today he just looked extremely sad."

Jesse James says he has a "huge hole" in his heart after learning of estranged wife Sandra Bullock's decision to divorce him and follow through with the couple's adoption of a baby boy as a single parent.

In an emotionally revealing interview, James tells People Magazine:

"My whole life has been full of hard decisions.

The decision to let my wife end our marriage, and continue the adoption of Louis on her own, has been the hardest. The love I have for Louis cannot be put to words. Not having him around to love and to hold has left a huge hole in my heart.

Sandy is the love of my life, but considering the pain and devastation I have caused her, it would be selfish to not let her go. Right now it is time for me to beat this addiction that has taken two of the things I love the most in life.

I have always taken great pride in proving people wrong. That time has come once again to show that I am not what everyone says I am. I know in my heart that I can be the best father possible to my four children, and the mate Sandy deserves, and realize that this is an incredible mountain to climb. But I believe that the steps I have taken in the last 30 days are the foundation for making this happen. The lifelong commitment I am making is what being a real husband and father is all about.

I ask that you please do not judge Sandy for the things I have done. She has done no wrong. She played no part in any of this. She has been an amazing wife, mother, and best friend, for the over 6 years we have been together."

While suffering a painful breakup with husband Jesse James, Oscar-winner Sandra Bullock has been privately celebrating the adoption of a baby boy.

The actress began the adoption process four years ago and has just brought home 3 1/2-month-old Louis Bardo Bullock, her newborn son, from New Orleans, People Magazine reports in this week's cover story.

Sandra tells the mag: "He's just perfect; I can't even describe him any other way."

Bullock, 45, has also filed from divorce from James, with whom she started the adoption process years ago, a rep for the actress confirms. Sandra tells People of this new phase of her life: "I'm sad and I am scared."

Former supermodel Cindy Crawford strolled arm-in-arm with hubby Rande Gerber (who was also a model himself, shocker!) after shopping at Planet Blue in the 'Bu Tuesday afternoon. How come we don't see more of these two more often? Double the hottness!

Last night at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of The Killer Inside Me, a demure looking Jessica Alba lent co-star Kate Hudson a helping hand to keep her hem down on the red carpet.

Kate, who showed up in a high-necked but super-short dress, made her first red carpet appearance since her boob job -- but it wasn't her chest she was showing off!

Thank goodness Jessica Alba was on hand to make sure her incredible legs were the only things exposed!

But after spending the cash to up her cup size, don't you think this would be the perfect venue to debut her new breasts?

This is a tough one.
