Up and coming comedian Aziz Ansari is set to host the nineteenth annual MTV Movie Awards, and while most of you may not know who he is, you will after June 6!

The Latin crooner who was rumored to have been in grave condition after an apparent allergic reaction to medication is "doing OK" according to actress pal Sofia Vergara.

“He’s OK, everybody gets sick. He’s young and strong,” The Modern Family star told Access Hollywood at the 21st annual GLAAD Awards this weekend.

Last week, it was reported that Miguel was admitted to Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles in critical condition after a bad reaction to medications. Soon after, rumors that the star had passed away swept the 'net, but X17online spoke to an exec at his label, Warner Music, who said, "Well, if that were the case, I'm sure you would have heard about it already."

When asked about his condition, reps for the singer said, "We cannot comment on the situation. That is personal, and we don't comment on those things. Luis is very private."

Lady GaGa announced via Twitter that she's set to perform on American Idol on May 5th!

Last week, our idol tweeted that she was going to be appearing on the show next month, with a link to a (now removed) video of GaGa's performance of her new single, Telephone on a Japanese television show. Guess we can expect our phones to be ringing!

Unfortch, the 5th is the elimination episode, which means GaGa will merely be a performer and not a mentor, but maybe that's a good thing. Can you imagine Big Mike wearing nothing but a unitard and 5-inch platform heels?

Jennifer Aniston is one of the highest paid actresses in Hollywood, but it looks like she's itching to go in a new direction.

Aniston will make her directorial debut with an upcoming feature film according to The Sun. "I have a project in development I'm going to direct. After you get enough movies under your belt you sit back and go, 'What's next?' ... It's getting to a time where creatively I want to turn in a different direction," the actress told a reporter.

Aniston's rep has confirmed to X17online that there are "a few possibilities" for films that she will direct, but they are all currently in the writing stages so "nothing firm had been set."

The 41-year-old star previously co-directed the short film Room 10 with Andrea Buchanan.

"Kim Kardashian isn't the only person who mistakenly thinks that because a mother cat picks up her kittens by the scruff of the neck that a supportive hand under the rump isn't needed."
