Sources tell EW that the former vice presidential candidate and superproducer Mark Burnett have been making the rounds in Hollywood this week to pitch the show, which is described as a “planet-Earth type look” at Palin’s home state of Alaska.

Yesterday Palin was spotted leaving ABC with Burnett, and EW reports she also stopped by CBS and Fox, and NBC is on her list of places to visit today. Think the networks will want a piece of Sarah? As long as her role in the show is fairly minor, this actually sounds pretty interesting!

The DJ played "Toxic," arguably Britney's most popular song, and an insider says that when it came on, Jason said: "OMG, I hate this song!"

His friends then laughed and continued to chat, but he interrupted with: "I'm sorry, I can't hear what you're saying over her voice." And apparently, he wasn't joking. Burn!

"I don't think that's fair at all for people who are going to see the show. I think if you are going to be a singer, you should sing. If you are going to be a dancer, you should dance. If you are going to do a combination of the two, you should make it very clear when you are singing and very clear when you are dancing. I would never do that to my fans. No offense to her specifically but people have asked me before to mime. I have been up at three in the morning for a television show with jet lag but I refuse to mime. It's treating people as if they are too stupid to realise you are not actually singing. Sometimes it is hard to sing and dance at the same time but I would rather be off and be real and genuine about it to my fans. I don't want to treat my fans like they are stupid."

Last night we snapped Gerard Butler arriving at the Chateau Marmont for a pre-Oscar party, and the Scottish stud was looking super sexy in a dark suit and tie. And that scruff? Rawr! Crystal Bowersox, the usually earthy contestant on American Idol, surprised everyone by showing up to perform during last night's Top 10 Girls performance show, despite battling a serious, unknown illness.

The powerful and soulful singer had been in the hospital right up until the live taping, leaving many to wonder if she was going to perform. What she's suffering from has yet to be revealed, but whatever it is, it was serious enough for AI to change the lineup of the week's performances.

There's no doubt the Ohio native can sing. Right before her performance, she told Ryan Seacrest, "I'm a tough cookie. Let's do this." And she did! Her performance of Creedence Clearwater Revival's Long as I Can See the Light was off the hook!

The judges definitely agreed. Ellen said, "That is pure, raw, natural talent! Please stay healthy. We need you here." Even the usually negative Simon, who compared Bowersox to Kelly Clarkson, sung her praises saying, "I think we have a very serious artist with you. Congratulations."

Everyone's been babbling about Angelina Jolie swooping in and stealing Johnny Depp's heart in The Tourist, and sources tell the New York Post that Depp's baby mama Vanessa Paradis ordered him to find another film when she learned who his co-star was!

Paradis "found out that there was a real long and intense love scene between [Depp] and Jolie" and she wasn't happy about it. A source close to the project added, "He's currently trying to [get out of the movie], but I don't know if he's succeeded. But he's trying and they're talking about replacing him with Brad Pitt or Leonardo DiCaprio."

Hmm, seeing as filming has already started I'm not sure that's going to happen, but we can definitely see Vanessa throwing a hissy fit upon realizing the serial man stealer might be making a move on Johnny. I mean, not only did Angie snatch Brad Pitt from Jennifer Aniston in Mr. & Mrs. Smith back in 2005, but she also pursued Billy Bob Thornton on the set of Pushing Tin in 1999 when he was still engaged to Laura Dern. But now that she's got Brad and the kids is Vanessa safe?
