Butler combed the beach in search of hot woman, presumably. Did he find one? Well he had lunch with a dude, so we're guessing he passed on all the hotties he found. Does that mean he's saving his heart for Jen???

Mischa Barton purchased a bright turquoise Cadillac convertible yesterday -- her first car since she lost her license back in December 2007 when she was arrested on drunk driving charges.

The car is a really beauty (and hey, it matches Mischa's lovely eyes), BUT it didn't come with a full tank of gas!





Unfortunately, Mischa learned the hard way, as her "new" car, which she told us she's named Maud, sputtered smoke as she drove on fumes. X17 photographers found The O.C. hottie stranded on the side of the road in need of help and what did we do ... we rescued her, of course!

Our photographer brought a can of gas to the lady in distress and she was oh-so grateful, which we love!



Our shooter said this about Mischa: "She was so nice and down-to-earth. She thanked us for bringing her gas and she posed and did some cute shots at the gas station when she finally made it there to fill up her tank. I think she was genuinely happy we found her!"

After three years of dating and two beautiful children together, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have finally gotten engaged.

During a taping of The Late Show with David Letterman tonight, Nicole revealed that Joel has finally popped the question, and the couple also confirmed the news to a fan at Abe and Arthur's in NYC earlier this evening when they spotted a sparkler on Nicole's left hand.

Of course, we weren't all that shocked by this news - just a few days ago we spotted Nicole and future brother-in-law/best man Benji starting the wedding planning at Monique Lhuillier. Looks like Nicole's eager to walk down the aisle!

Britney Spears has been controlled by the conservatorship - and her father, Jamie - for roughly two years now. She's made a spectacular "comeback" with the Circus tour, patched things up with K-Fed and got her bangin' bod back.

And then there's boyfriend Jason Trawick. Yes, Brit's dating someone that represents her. Nevertheless, he seems to be doing a good job! So what does she need her dad for? What if Britney marries Jason - will the conservatorship still stand? I can't imagine Brit being married AND being ruled by the conservatorship at the same time!

Or maybe Britney shouldn't get married again at all. I mean, why bother? But if she did, who do you think would do a better job of managing her assets: Jason or Jamie?

Chynna Phillips, member of the 90's group Wilson Phillips, has "checked into an undisclosed treatment facility for anxiety," according to her rep, Lizzie Grubman.

Phillips, 42, has three children with her husband, actor Billy Baldwin. Grubman released a statement saying, "With the full support of her family and friends, she is looking forward to her recovery. We ask that people respect her and her family's privacy at this time."

Phillips' half-sister Mackenzie went public last fall, with accusations that their father provider her drugs and forced her into an incestuous relationship with him. The confession landed Chynna on Oprah to speak about the situation with her father, John Phillips, of the Mamas and the Papas. Phillips said, on the talk show, I pray that we all get closer through this crisis ... But I would be lying to you if I didn't tell you that there are going to be some huge obstacles in front of us."

Earlier today we caught Paris Hilton and pals enjoying a boat ride in Rio, and the heiress flaunted her hot bod on the deck as photographers snapped away. There's nothing sexier than a simple white bikini - and a hunky piece of man candy to go with it!

Kellan Lutz admitted that he was so nervous about his Calvin Klein underwear shoot that he jokingly requested "fluffers."

"In the beginning, I was just, like, 'So, is the temperature going to be hot? Do I need, you know, fluffers maybe?'" the hunk told Us at the Calvin Klein fashion show in New York.

But his discomfort was short-lived. "They made it really easy," the brand's spokesperson said. "There wasn't anything that was riding up, so you don't feel uncomfortable posing." The Twi-hunk continued, "They fit great, they're snug and they hold everything in and you look good."

Although Kellan's on-set experience was totally relaxed, now that he's been exposed, Lutz worries about what some ladies might think... most specifically his mom! "But now my nude a*s is going to be all over billboards, we'll see what my mother thinks."
