Ahh, the good old breakup binge!

Britney Spears' ex-husband Kevin Federline sat down with Access Hollywood to chat about his role on VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp, and the former fattie reveals that depression played a big part in his overeating.

K-Fed told the show, "Once you get depressed, you don’t really feel like doing anything. You’re kind of discouraged about yourself and then the weight gain too, or that makes me more depressed. I mean, it’s a combination of all of those things.”

Kevin admitted that his divorce from Britney in 2006 played a large part in his depression, and while he doesn't blame her entirely, he definitely seems to be using it as an excuse! “A number of things between, I mean, everybody knows what happened with me and Brit. I’m not going to say that’s the total cause of it but, I mean, just not being happy with myself was probably the main part of my depression,” he said.

So what's his relationship with Britney like now? “I’m in the best possible scenario right now," Kevin says. "I’m really happy for her. I’m very happy for her.”

Kevin definitely seems to be happier with fewer pounds on his frame, and he tells Access that being asked to join Celebrity Fit Club couldn't have come at a better time. “They called me and they asked me if I wanted to do it and I had maybe 24 hours to decide because the show started taping the next day after that weekend,” he said. Yesterday Benji Madden and an unidentified gal pal grabbed coffee at Urth Caffe in the rain, and if this was a real date, she definitely did an excellent job keeping the inked up Good Charlotte singer entertained!

Katy Perry got feisty with Idol judge Kara DioGuardi last night, at one point threatening to throw Coke in her face!

The two argued over contestant Chris Golightly, who sang "Stand by Me" after talking to Ryan about his tough childhood. Kara said yes, calling Golightly him "one of my favorites today, if not my favorite." She went on to say, "You're the kind of kid who has just enough talent and just enough of a story and pain and stuff that you've gone through in your life to really connect with it, and I think you're only going to get better."

But Katy, who calls herself "brutally honest" disagreed. "This is not a Lifetime movie, sweetheart," she said to DioGuardi. "You have to have talent!"

Things got even more heated when Kara decided to bust out a little "I Kissed A Girl" in front of Katy. After a few seconds, Katy interrupted, "Please stop before I throw my Coke in your face!" MEOW!

Is Katy really that catty? Or is she trying to out-Simon Simon?

"The 'American Idol' experience was awesome," she told MTV. "If I was offered that job as a permanent host, I would ditch my career and take on that career."

So maybe last night's auditions were also an audition for Katy herself!

After leaving an LA hospital Monday, Brooke Mueller checked herself into a rehab clinic in North Carolina.

ET reports that Mueller, who's still recovering from a bout with pneumonia, most likely travelled by train to the drug and alcohol center (since doctors advised her not to fly.)

Her attorney Yale Galanter says she's doing ok, but is concerned about her health.

Mueller is scheduled to appear in court with Charlie Sheen in Aspen on February 8th.

Last night Nicole Richie dined at Madeo, but she wasn't the only famous face there! We spotted Nicky Hilton and Stavros Niarchos sharing a table together, and Rachel Zoe and Clive Davis were also snapped at the eatery. No word on whether or not Nicole was actually hanging with her former stylist, but we're sure she caught up with Nicky and Stavros - after all, this group used to be the tightest of party pals back in the day.

Ah, how a few years and two kids changes it all!

After undergoing ten procedures in one day, Heidi Montag is ready to share the plastic surgery wealth, saying she plans on giving her mother Darlene Egelhoff a "Mommy Makeover" for Mother's Day.

Despite claims that Darlene was "horrified" about what her daughter had done to herself, Heidi tells Nightline that in fact, Darlene was totally "supportive."

"She says, 'Whatever makes you happy,'" Montag said of her mom. "And 'Great,' and, 'I could definitely see your boobs looking incredible bigger,' and you know, my mom's very ... supportive about whatever makes you happy in life."

In fact, Darlene was apparently so supportive of Heidi's nose and boob job, butt augmentation, lipo all over her body, botox, chin reduction, brow lift, fat injections and ear reshaping, that Heidi's going to reward her with some surgery of her own.

"She was excited for me and she's asking me ... for her surgery next," said Montag. "So for Mother's Day, I have to ask [surgeon] Dr. Frank Ryan if he'll do the mommy makeover."

Be careful Darlene! This is one gift you won't be able to return!

Not only is Britney Spears grabbing her beverage of choice at Starbucks, but she's also wearing her favorite yellow turtleneck!

Yesterday we spotted Britney getting a manicure and running errands in Calabasas, and the pop princess was in a fabulous mood. She didn't have much to say to photogs, but when asked about donating her MTV VMAs dress to Haiti, she appeared proud of herself and flashed us a genuine smile.

And her name is Katy Perry! The "I Kissed A Girl" singer was just spotted working on her fitness at a dance class in LA. Damn, those tights are hot hot hot!

Maybe now that Russell is all muscled up, he and Katy can go to the gym and get sweaty together!
