Britney Spears is due back in court this afternoon for her ongoing conservatorship case.

A court spokesperson tells X17online that Britney is ordered to appear at the hearing in downtown Los Angeles at 12:30.

However, it's still not known if Britney will, in fact, attend in person.

Last month the court extended Britney's conservatorship through the new year, but it's possible that today is the day that Britney will finally ask for her freedom back.

And on the subject of Kellan and his movies, the 24-year-old actor told Marc Malkin that he's up for the lead role in the remake of Conan the Barbarian. Kellan says, "I've been auditioning. They're finalizing so they're trying to figure out what happens next. I've been waiting for a while, doing screen tests. There are just so many cooks in the kitchen. If it happens, it happens…Regardless, it's not gonna be the new Arnold Schwarzenegger type of movie, no one's going to try and play that role. I think they're going younger, a different type of story. I'm just excited, because the script is great."

Sounds interesting! And I think Kellan will make a way better Conan than Arnie, don't you?

Not like money really matters to him anyway! The longtime American Idol judge recently announced that he was leaving the show to pursue other projects (i.e., bringing his program, The X Factor to the US), and the NY Post reports that he turned down a $100 million offer from the folks at Fox!

They must have REALLY wanted him to stay, but Simon says, "If I thought it would lead to the death of Idol, I genuinely wouldn't have done it. We are sure that Idol will continue successfully." Simon added, "Everyone seemed quite cool about it ... Ellen [DeGeneres] sort of saw the funny side. She was kidding around with me, saying: 'On my first day you decide to quit?' She's professional. I don't think it was a total surprise."

Though Simon and Fox refused to discuss how much he was offered to stay, it seems like he's looking forward to moving on with his own project. Simon says, "On X Factor, you get to mentor the artists, so you have more of a role. It's frustrating sometimes when you sit there [as a judge on Idol] and you haven't been able to change their songs, or how they perform, or what they wear."

So who will be working on X with him? Simon replied, "It's pointless hiring judges who don't know anything about the music business. I'll probably go and find someone who did what I did for a living. I was an A&R guy for 20 years. I thought Tommy Mottola would be a good choice. He was the guy who was the head of Sony - he guided Mariah - very flamboyant, knows what he's talking about." What about Paula Abdul? "I've been talking to Paula for a long time," he said. "It was always my intention in one way or another to carry on working with her."

Lindsay Lohan and ex-girlfriend Sam Ronson were back together again last night at club Voyeur.

Although they arrived and left separately, you can see Samantha giving Lindsay's assistant a big hug outside the club. Hmmmm, is she trying to get the girls back together?

But we're not sure if this reunion was a happy one for Sam. As she left the club, she angrily told photogs, "Y'all talking sh*t? Cuz I'm not deaf!"

Minutes later, Lindsay rolled out of the parking lot with her friend/driver who thankfully was not wearing sunglasses!

We asked the heiress to weigh in on the late-night wars, but she wouldn't pick sides in the Jay vs. Conan debate. She simply said she liked them "both."

Heroes actor Jimmy Jean-Louis, known as "The Haitian" on the show, told CNN yesterday he has finally spoken with his mother in Haiti.

" got a phone call from my sister who said she was able to reach home," the Haitian native and "Heroes" cast member said. " So I picked up the phone and my mom answered. The first reaction from both of us was simply to cry."

The actor had been awaiting word from his family since a 7.0 earthquake hit the island nation on Tuesday. He now knows his immediate family was physically unharmed, but that they are sleeping outdoors after their home was rendered unsafe. He says they "have not stopped crying ever since the earthquake happened."

Jean-Louis was born in Petionville, Haiti and grew up without electricity or running water before moving to Paris when he was 12 to pursue modeling.

The actor is the founder of Hollywood Unites for Haiti, a charity whose mission is to provide sports and cultural education for youth on the island. Now, Jean-Louis says, the mission has changed -- the group is focused on providing aid to the country after this devastating natural disaster.

Jean-Louis is still waiting for news about members of his extended family. He praised the international aid effort underway: "I am very, very happy that there is unity. Only through unity will be be able to overcome catastrophe."

Courtney Love has taken to Twitter to threaten to sue her former in-laws, Kurt Cobain's mother Wendy O'Connor and his sister Kimberly Dawn Cobain, who currently have custody of Love's daughter Frances Bean Cobain.

"This sh*t with the bean needs to be exposed for what it is right f*cking NOW enough," Courtney tweeted.

She went on to claim that O'Connor and Cobain, who have temporary guardianship over Frances Bean's finances, have somehow frozen Courtney's bank accounts.

"they squeesed my bank accounts so that they were frozen because they know im going to sue the holy sh*t out of them and now are ? crocodiling my kid whose better than this seriously she was raised too well to be bought," Love tweeted.

And in case you thought this was some sort of druggy rant, don't worry, cuz Court says she's sober. "im severely lonely without my best friend and no am not on drugs BTW."

Well, we kinda already knew this since The Situation hinted that he had gotten with every girl in the house a few episodes ago, but here are the details of his steamy hookup with Snooki!

On E!'s Chelsea Lately last night, host Chelsea Handler asked the two if they had hooked up, and not only did they confirm it, but Snooki added, "It's not awkward at all. If I wanna make out with him right now, I can. It's not weird."

So what is hooking up to this crazy kids? The Situation told Chelsea, "On the show, it's just a kiss. But sometimes, on the road, it's a little more than that. We save the special stuff for on the road." Eh...maybe we don't want to know any more than that!
