Gwyneth Paltrow may have an Oscar under her belt, but it doesn't look like she's going to be winning any awards for her driving!

The Daily Mail reports that the actress was involved in a minor car crash in Hampstead, north London when her black BMW SUV rear ended a red sedan at a stoplight on an icy road.

Gwyneth and the other driver exchanged insurance information, and thankfully no one was hurt in the collision.

It seems like there's trouble in paradise for Britney Spears and Jason Trawick.

We haven't seen the couple together since the 16th of December and even their last few appearances together didn't seem too blissful.

Our Britney expert photographer tells us:

"Britney has just been in a funk recently. The last few times we spotted her with Jason, they didn't seem to be getting along. Honestly, Jason seems like Britney's b*tch. She tells him what to do and he does it and even then, she usually looks annoyed with him."

Back on December 6th, you may remember, Brit yelled at Jason for leaving her alone in the Fred Segal cafe while he chatted outside on his phone.

Later on in the month, we spotted Jason driving Brit around town - while she was asleep! And it wasn't the first time ... our photographers told us they had seen Jason doing that a lot recently -- seemingly rocking Britney to sleep with the motion of the car so she could fight her insomnia and get some rest. But why the stress and sleep deprivation? Perhaps her relationship with Jason was at the root of it ...

Our photographer tell us:

"They were never really that close. Jason isn't really Britney's type, either."

Maybe not, but Brit and Jason were together at least... right? Sources tell us that may not be the case.

We're hearing that Britney's relationship was perhaps only half-hearted at first but descended into a full-on PR push by her family and handlers and maybe even from Jason himself. The source tells X17 Brit and Jason's relationship was a convenient publicity sham -- it made Britney look happy and healthy which pleased her family and management and it satisfied Brit's need to appear responsible the "recovered" from her past problems in the eyes of the court.

The story goes, Britney went along with it at first and for a while she was genuinely interested in Jason, if for no other reason than that he was relatively cute and offered her stability and friendship. But that eventually, as it became clear to Brit that Jason wasn't right for her, her parents began to force the relationship by planting stories in the media about how great Jason is and how perfect he is for their daughter. At that point, with public opinion behind their relationship, Britney had almost not choice but to continue dating Jason. But it seems now, the ruse may be up!

We haven't spotted Jason around at all for the past three weeks. If Britney's in town while he's in town, why aren't they spending time together?

And Britney's mom Lynne was just in town visiting -- perhaps to console her daughter after a difficult breakup? Britney was certainly in a bad mood yesterday when we spotted her at the Mondrian, hiding from our lenses under a blanket as she entered the hotel. And then her mom left town, leaving Brit by her lonesome, at the hotel with her assistant, but Jason nowhere in sight ...

Could this be the end of Britney and Jason and if so, will their professional relationship continue?

And now The Sun has the deets behind Russell Brand's marriage proposal...

The couple was staying at India's luxurious Taj Rambagh Palace hotel - see Katy's Tweet pic to the left! - when it happened.

It was New Year's Eve and, wearing a dress he had bought for her, Katy accompanied Russell first to an ancient fort and then "a table in a garden with candles everywhere. They arrived in a horse and carriage with glasses of champagne," reveals a hotel worker...

The hotel worker continues: "At midnight they enjoyed fireworks while sitting on an elephant, which Mr. Brand specially requested. Then they were taken to the Mughal Garden - which was decorated by flowers and candlelight. Russell had given his butler the diamond ring to hide among the flowers. Miss Perry found it, he proposed, and she immediately said 'yes!'" Aww!

Afterwards, the couple requested 45 minutes of privacy. Natch! And where to after that?



The presidential suite, of course!

Yeah, this bedroom (on the right) is where Russell and Katy stayed. Complete with a gorge circular bed AND a sunken jacuzzi...

Jason Davis sat down with X17online to chat about his family's attempted intervention over the holidays, and I must say, it's quite fascinating to hear the oil heir open up about how Tom Arnold and his brother Alexander Davis tore up his apartment with a baseball bat and tried to drag him to rehab!

Jason's grandfather is the late oil tycoon Marvin Davis, who ran Davis Petroleum (a company founded by his father Jack) and owned everything from 20th Century Fox to the Denver Broncos. Both Jason and his brother Brandon have reportedly struggled with substance abuse in the past, and this isn't Jason's first brush with rehab.

Jason tells X17online that it all began on Christmas Eve, when he didn't show up at his family's house for a holiday gathering. Apparently this became a cause for concern, because on January 3, he claims that Tom and his brother showed up to his Los Angeles residence and assaulted him and his girlfriend before dragging him to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and trying to have him held against his will.

Jason says that around 11:42am, Tom and Alexander burst through his bedroom door, and threatened him and his girlfriend. Jason tells X17online exclusively:

"First they shake my girlfriend and pull her off the couch and start saying, 'You're a wh*re, you're a drug addict, you're causing all this crap' and then Tom swings the baseball bat at her. Tom takes the bat and goes 'Wake the f*ck up!' and my brother pulls me out of bed [and] they both throw me to the floor and say, 'Guess what, you're going to rehab.' ... They were trying to hold me against my will and they said to me, 'We're going to try to hold you, we're going to forge your signature, we're going to do all this crap.'"

Jason added that the two men dragged him through the apartment, injuring his foot and scraping his back. Jason tells X17online:

"They took their foot, they punched down on [my foot], I fell again and then my brother picked up my foot [and they] dragged me across the floor. I was able to lift myself up on that couch, and I was screaming because I was in pain."

Jason mocked Tom for trying to be a hero, stating, "If that was an emergency intervention, then just consider him Adolf Hitler." Jason says his girlfriend went to the neighbors' apartment to call the police, as she was "scared for her life," but Jason says that after officers showed up, his brother wouldn't allow her to retrieve her cell phone. He says that his brother confronted his girlfriend, telling her that he read her texts, and then he accused her of selling drugs with Jason.

Jason told us, "The fact a family will sell their own child out for media attention and show my issues - if there are any - to the public, I mean that's bullsh*t." Davis hired attorney Gloria Allred and checked out of the hospital the next day, and that's when he told us his side of the story.

While Jason seems furious over the attempted intervention (which was approved by his mother Nancy), we have wonder why he's fighting it so hard. Perhaps his family is concerned that he's just another lost rich kid heading down the same path as Casey Johnson? I mean, given his sing along at the end of the interview (click on the 5:15 mark to see the delightfulness), we'd say his family probably does have a pretty good reason to question his well being...

Oh, and stay tuned for the second part of the interview where Jason spills all sorts of dirt on his brother Brandon...it's just as juicy as the details Patrick is promising to reveal about Lindsay...

On the January 21st episode of ABC's Grey's Anatomy, Kat Heigl's character Izzie returns "hoping to reconcile with Alex," with whom she's separated from... and the network even released a pic from the episode above!

Hmm, it looks like they're finally going to have a serious talk! Thing is, I can't imagine the two are going to reconcile, what with Izzie's - er, I mean Heigl's - blossoming film career.

In her interview with Chelsea Handler in November, Khloe Kardashian briefly chatted about the possibility of getting pregnant, but now it looks like she's on a serious mission to get knocked up!

Khloe did an interview with 104.3 MY FM's Valentine in the Morning yesterday and revealed that she's very eager to get pregnant, and she's already stopped taking birth control! Khloe said, "I'm not doing anything to prevent [getting pregnant]...I want to, we both want to, we're in an ideal situation." Is this going to be a surprise for her husband? "Oh, he knows," Khloe told the show. "Lamar wants to have a baby tomorrow!"

And it doesn't look like she's exaggerating either - when Khloe was hungover sick on New Year's Day from some sort of stomach bug, Lamar was all too eager to go out and buy a pregnancy test. Khloe says, "I was throwing up all day long [and] he was like 'Yeah! You're pregnant. He was all on it!" Khloe added, "I want to so badly! That's a goal for me."

But are we really ready for another Kardashian baby?

The "Bad Romance" singer has just been named the Creative Director for a specialty line of Polaroid products, according to a press release today... which means, according to her father, she finally has a "real job."

So goes the statement: "The Haus of Gaga has been developing prototypes in the vein of fashion, technology and photography innovation - blending the iconic history of Polaroid and instant film with the digital era - and we are excited to collaborate on these ventures with the Polaroid brand. Lifestyle, music, art, fashion: I am so excited to extend myself behind the scenes as a designer," Lady Gaga says.

This could be a smart choice for Polaroid, a company that saw its sales decline in our booming digital age.

Wonder what kind of "imaging products" Gaga will dream up this year!
