A source tells X17online exclusively that Tiger Woods has entered a private, upscale rehabilitation facility in Arizona.

The source tells X17online:

"He has been there for a few days since his handlers forced him to enter the program. They feel that if he blames his cheating on addiction, the public will forgive him."

Recent reports claim Tiger was spotted in Palm Beach with former (or current?) mistress Rachel Uchitel, but so far no pictures have surfaced nor has anyone gone on the record saying they saw the two together.

Meanwhile, a stint in rehab for Tiger seems like the next logical step. After singer Eric Benet was caught in a much-publicized cheating scandal during his relationship with Halle Berry, he entered rehab for sexual addiction. More recently, Californication star David Duchovny did the same in an effort to redeem his reputation and his marriage with Tea Leoni.

Arizona boasts two high-profile rehabilitation centers - Cottonwood de Tuscon and The Meadows in Phoenix. Cottonwood's program for sex addiction "centers on helping patients retrain the neural pathways that are activated by their sexual behavior," while the Meadows focuses on treating alcohol and drug addiction along with compulsive behaviors such as eating, gambling, sex, love addiction/avoidance and codependence. While it seems obvious that Tiger would be entering a facility for sex addiction, it was also reported that he had problems with prescription drug abuse, so it's entirely possible that he's being treated for multiple issues.

The source explains Woods' motivation to get help:

"Tiger wants to get back on top. He agreed to put golfing on hold so he could show the world how badly he feels about what he's done and to prove that he wants to correct the problems that led to his infidelity."

The Hills star just returned to sunny LA after visiting her mom in Chicago for the holidays, which she said were "good." And since she's gearing up for a second season of her MTV show we bet her new year will be "great"!

Roman Polanski has written a letter thanking his supporters from the Alpine chalet where he's currently under house arrest.

"I have been overwhelmed by the number of messages of support and sympathy I have received in Winterthur prison, and that I continue to receive here, in my chalet in Gstaad, where I am spending the holidays with my wife and my children," says Polanski, in a letter written to friend Bernard-Henri Levy, who made it public at the director's request.

"I would like every one of them to know how heartening it is, when one is locked up in a cell, to hear this murmur of human voices and of solidarity in the morning mail. In the darkest moments, each of their notes has been a source of comfort and hope," Polanski writes.

After more than 60 days in a Swiss jail, Polanski was transferred to his chalet earlier this month, where he was able to spend the holidays with his family.

He's currently waiting to find out if he'll face extradition to the US for sentencing in his 1978 trial for having sex with a 13-year-old girl.

Sarah Palin's 18-year-old daughter Bristol is seeking full custody of her son Tripp as well as child support from her baby daddy Levi Johntson.

Bristol wanted the custody proceedings to be kept private, but Levi filed a petition saying in an affidavit, "I do not feel protected against Sarah Palin in a closed proceeding. I hope that if it is open she will stay out of it."

Levi previously said that the Palin family had "pushed him over the edge" when it came to his visits with one-year-old Tripp, and said he would be filing for joint custody, but now Bristol claims he only sees his son sporadically and wants that Playgirl money to help her raise the boy!

Now that Sarah Palin's a best-selling author and possibly even more powerful than ever, will she help to strike Levi down or will the little guy prevail?

Apparently Tiger Woods and Rachel Uchitel were spotted together on Sunday night at a mansion party in Palm Beach, Florida, and Entertainment Tonight reports that the duo mingled "with about three hundred other partygoers Sunday night" and were spotted holding hands!

ET also reports that Tiger and Rachel partied together on Saturday night at the Everglades Club in Palm Beach, and they add that some sources claim the couple is living together in Palm Beach!

But if there were several hundred guests at the party the other night, why hasn't anyone else come forward with the story? And why aren't there pictures? Someone had to have known how much those shots would be worth, so we find it a little hard to believe that there isn't photo documentation of this. Furthermore, would Tiger really step out like this with his alleged mistress? You'd think he'd wait until his divorce was at least halfway through being finalized!

Say it ain't so! We have yet another couple to add to the 2009 breakup list!

After three months of dating, country cutie Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner have ended their relationship. A source for Us Weekly says, "It wasn't really developing into anything, and wasn't going to, so they decided they were better as friends. There was no chemistry, and it felt contrived."

When Lautner flew out to Nashville for Swift's 20th birthday party two weeks ago, that's when their romance began to fizzle, and a source for the mag added, "He liked her more than she liked him. He went everywhere he could to see her, but she didn't travel much to see him."

While the two plan to stay friends, that's still gotta sting for the New Moon stud! Then again, I'm sure he'll find someone else to admire his perfect abs...
