The Queen of Pop, who has a greatest hits album coming out, graces the cover of Rolling Stone magazine this month. Well, her 20-something self does, but her 50-something mouth sounded off about her transformations, biggest hits and being a "geek".

“I think people put a lot of emphasis on the whole reinvention of my image, and it’s always been a lot less calculated than people think,” Madonna told the mag. ” I think it’s boring to stay the same. A girl likes to change her look.” Really? Still referring to herself as "a girl" at 51?

“I was a geek in high school. I didn’t really have a drink until I got divorced for the first time [from Sean Penn] when I was 30,” she says. But just after that she recounts a time in the 7th grade where she sang The Who's Baba O'Riley for a talent show in a midriff top and body paint. Doesn't sound too "geeky" to me.

But Madonna also said some things that actually make sense. Madge recently told Contact Music that "I see myself in Lady GaGa."

"When I saw her, she didn't have a lot of money for her production," Mama Madonna said. "She had holes in her fishnets, and there were mistakes everywhere. It was kind of a mess, but I can see that she has that 'It Factor'." Hmmm, holes in her fishnets and mistakes everywhere? Sounds like the old Madonna indeed!

I just wish their first collaboration had been better than this disaster. Oh well, there's still time. GaGa is still in her twenties and Madonna's gonna bio-engineer herself to live forever so maybe we'll get a duet out of them yet!

Last night Madonna went out in New York solo, without any of her five children (yes, including Jesus.) Guess while she wanted to "look back" on her life, she thought it might be best to be with people who were actually alive in the 80s!

Yesterday afternoon Bar Refaeli headed to Barneys in Bev Hills for a little retail therapy, and even the Louboutins couldn't seem to cheer up Leo's former lady love! Maybe the weather was bumming her out, but we're guessing the sexy supermodel misses having a snuggle buddy in this weather!

After launching her new Ungaro line and presumably partying her skinny little butt off in Paris over the past two weeks, Lindsay Lohan is finally back in the states. Her first stop? Victoria's Secret Beauty in New York CIty to support the launch of the new fragrance collection, Velvet, where she was joined by VS Angel/hot mama Alessandra Ambrosio.

Alessandra and Linds shared a piece of Sylvia Weinstock buttercream cake that was baked in the shape of the Velvet fragrance bottle, and the two posed for a few pictures as well. Though there are rumors circulating that Lindsay has hit rock bottom, she looks pretty damn good here! Either she's discovered a miracle drug that cures jet lag on contact, or those other reports are a wee bit exaggerated...

So, what's the scoop on her somewhat disastrous debut with Ungaro? Lindsay tells People mag that she blames the bad reviews on “coming in so late and having not that much time to do a whole collection." We know she's a busy girl, but maybe making excuses isn't the best route to take?

And what about the next batch of threads she's working on with the fashion house? Lindsay revealed that she's going back to Paris to prepare for the January deadline of the next collection, adding, "I am learning.” Clearly she's still new to the game, as she had no idea that her own models would be flashing sequined pasties on the runway during fashion week! Regarding the peek a boob incident Lindsay said, “I wasn’t aware of the nipple tassels on the girls until they were walking out." Hey, we actually believe her on this one...maybe the next line will be more of a hit? Sounds like she'll have plenty of time to get her stuff together!

Jessica Simpson was at an event for QVC in NYC last night, and the blonde bombshell looked oh so fabulous as she posed on the red carpet. Considering the week she's had, we're thrilled to see her holding up so well, and we can't wait to see her back on the small screen on her new VH1 show.

Earlier this week Jessica tweeted about the cruel pranksters contacting her and her family saying that they had found Daisy, and her latest battle is with the folks at Fox Sports. On Sunday Fox aired a skit (sponsored by Burger King) that blasting Jess for her weight. In the clip, a cartoon version of Dallas Cowboys coach Wade Phillips asked, "Say Tony, is Jessica around? We could use a defensive tackle!" Two other animated characters poked fun at Jess for her size, but Fox seems to know that they crossed the line, as they just issued an apology.

"Burger King Corp. did not have any editorial input in the creation of the animation that ran last Sunday, and no one from Burger King Corp. approved it before it aired," a rep for the network told Us Weekly. "Upon reflection, our poor attempt at humor was insensitive and we deeply apologize to anyone who might have been offended." Duh!

C'mon people...give Jess a break! She lost her dog, she got dumped by Tony Romo, and she's still forging on with her life by taping her new reality show and appearing at events. It's not like she's running around town in a pink wig with her lady bits hanging out - show a little respect!

And she doesn't seem at all fazed! Okay, maybe a little. It really doesn't help her hair!

The Hills vixen ran errands yesterday, stopping by the cleaners and grabbing coffee. Note to Kristin: Wearing leather in the rain is a baaaaad idea!

The weather is dreary everywhere this week and New York is no exception, but the Gossip Girl cast - this show is on one big, endless production schedule! - made it out to the set on Tuesday. I actually think Hil looks cute here. I just miss seeing Blake with her real-life beau Penn!

Guess they're definitely broken up now!

According to court documents, former pop star Avril Lavigne has filed for divorce from Deryck Whibley and has requested he be denied spousal support... ooh boy!

The reason behind the split? Irreconcilable differences, natch.

It seems like these two have been having problems for a while. At least they don't have a kid caught in the middle of this! Hopefully Avril will turn out an old school album now and Deryck can just disappear.

Victoria has hardly any secrets left!

Alessandra Ambrosia is in New York promoting Velvet: The Fragrance, by Victoria's Secret. While she looks - and probably smells - lovely, all I notice is how slender her frame is. Jealous!
