Carrie Underwood will return to the network that launched her career, as she has signed on to do a two-hour variety special on Fox tentatively titled Carrie Underwood: An All-Star Holiday Special.

Carrie will perform her previous hits, holiday classics and songs from her upcoming album, and she'll even participate in comedy bits, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Dolly Parton, Brad Paisley and last year's American Idol winner David Cook will join Carrie, and the special will air on December 7.

Can't wait to watch this - Carrie is def our favorite country singer. Sorry LeAnn!

Lindsay Lohan took a ten day break from Twitter at the beginning of the month, but she's back to tweeting and her latest message has us scratching our heads. We've already noticed that Samantha Ronson has been ignoring Lindsay's tweets, and over the past month, Sam hasn't sent her estranged lady love a single response! Now Lindsay has tweeted an explanation for all to see, and about an hour ago she wrote:

@samantharonson doesn't respond 2me b/c her family will cut her off if she contacts me...They control the one I love&im incapable of making any sort of difference. I'm in love with her, as she is in love with me....but her loved ones-hate her brilliance&resent her happiness.

Just a few minutes after that tweet, Lindsay wrote to one of her pals, "I need to talk to you. My friend of all friends. I'm "highly" confused." Her words, not ours!

So does this mean Rohan has broken up? Or are they secretly still together? Guess we'll find out when Lindsay returns to Los Angeles!

Jon & Kate appeared together in court this morning in Philadelphia to argue their claims that each violated the terms of their divorce proceedings by withdrawing substantial amounts from their joint accounts.

The hearing lasted only one hour, in which the judge ordered them to try to work out their differences in private, according to My Fox Philly.

Kate initially accused Jon of withdrawing $230,000 from the couple's account, leaving her with less than $1,000 to pay the bills, while Jon fired back, claiming she's lying about her finances and in turn withdrew almost $70,000 from the joint account herself.

The embattled couple has two weeks to try to work it out with a private arbitrator before they are due to return to court on October 26th.

After the embarrassing admission that Michael Jackson's This Is It was really a re-recording of a song co-written by MJ and Paul Anka in 1983 called I Never Heard, Jackson's estate has agreed to split the profits with Anka.

"They realize it's a mistake, they realize it's my song, they realize it's my production of his vocal in my studio and I am getting 50 percent of the whole project, actually, which is fair," said Anka yesterday.

Considering that sales of Jackson's music soared immediately following his death, we can safely assume that Anka will receive a nice payday from This Is It.

Last night Khloe Kardashian and her NBA star hubby Lamar Odom dined at Ago in West Hollywood, and the newlyweds got all dolled up for the occasion! Khloe wore a dress that looked like it was more suitable for a nightclub, but who cares - she looked smokin' hot! And the fact that Lamar can make her smile like that? Show it off girl! Let everyone else be jealous!

Just one pair? You'd think with all of the millions she's made over the years, she could afford to donate an entire closet full of Louboutins, but I guess not!

Madonna has offered to donate one of her favorite pairs of Christian Dior shoes to a charity supporting Gypsy child education, reports the Associated Press. A pair of gold heels, which are autographed by the material girl, will be sold at the Ovidiu Rom annual ball in late October.

Last August Madonna was booed onstage in Bucharest when she said she believed the discrimination against East Europe’s Gypsies should end, but it looks like she does have some supporters! Leslie Hawke (yup, she's Ethan's mom), president of Ovidiu Rom, told the AP, "Madonna’s very mild comment regarding equality shone a spotlight on a common European attitude toward Gypsies. We’re thrilled to have her donation because she is such an icon of innovation and vigor and ‘can do’ spirit."

We think she can do a little better than this though...

Our versatile little LiLo is still in Paris after her disastrous Emanuel Ungaro fashion show and it looks like she might be staying there for a while!

Lindsay had some thought-provoking comments about her career ups and downs for Britain's The Times newspaper:

"Life's a little bit tragic, don't you think? I never felt pushed into acting. Even thought it can get a bit monotonous always being on set. But the thing is, I never had acting lessons. I panic sometimes when I have a monologue to learn but then weirdly I look at the lines and they just attach themselves to my memory. But fashion is what I really love. I think it all works hand in hand - music, film, fashion. It's not as if I have a five-year plan."

Wait, I thought she wanted to win an Oscar in the next year or so? Things change! LiLo also revealed that she's going to be in Paris "for a long time. I'm going to take French lessons."

No doubt she'll be accepted to the Sorbonne!

Okay, so she doesn't really want to be an actress - fine! But a fashion designer adviser? I think rehab should be the first step, and it seems others agree!

Maybe Dina doesn't, but she never thinks her daughter needs help!
