That's right, the 1989 cult classic starring Winona Ryder, Christian Slater and Shannen Doherty will be adapted for TV,
reports Variety...
Writers Mark Rizzo and
Sex and the City alum Jenny Bicks will pen it and Sony Pictures will produce with Lakeshore Entertainment. Of course, everyone is still "kicking around ideas" on how to revive the story 20 years later, but the two main characters Veronica and J.D. - as well as the Heathers, of course - are expected to be present.
Originally there was talk of a
Heathers film sequel, but execs think a TV show is a better idea. What do YOU think?
I dunno if the story can compete with series like
Gossip Girl or even
Skins these days! And is it possible to imagine
Heathers without Winona Ryder? I sure can't!

Before you think the Romanians have better taste in music than we do, it wasn't for anything she did during her show, it was what she
said between numbers!
Access Hollywood reports that Madge paused during the set to defend the Gypsies of Europe (known as Roma in Romania), who are frequently discriminated against.
Several thousands in the crowd of 60,000 booed the Material Girl, who apparently didn't react.
Guess they wanted her to just shut up and sing!

At least that's what the
NY Post is reporting!
"Derek and Minka are secretly engaged," an insider told
Page Six. "The wedding is being planned and will take place after baseball season is over."
Though a rep for the actress denied the reports,
Page Six added that the Yankees star and his lady love are telling close pals to "save the date" for nuptials in the fall.
Hmmm, this isn't the first time they've quashed claims about their romance...but are they just trying to be sneaky? It's certainly worked for Tom and Gisele and plenty of other celebs!

Anne Heche's ex-husband Coley Laffoon is upset that the actress called him "lazy ass" on the
Late Show With David Letterman last night, and he's using Facebook to vent! "I wish Anne Heche could see that public bullying isn't good for the soul or positive for her child. It's mean," her jilted ex-hubby wrote.
Laffoon also told
Us Weekly, "After coming home from showing two different clients two different condominiums, I was disturbed to see Anne taking out her personal frustration on the father of her child on national television."
Though Anne seemed to hint that Laffoon just sits around collecting checks, apparently he's an employee at the Los Angeles real estate company Hilton & Hyland.
Hmm, so is Anne out of line or did her ex deserve her verbal spanking?

Hangover hunk Bradley Cooper was spotted getting all hot and sweaty at the gym in Hollywood yesterday, and we're not sure if he's doing it for Renee or for his latest film role, but we're certainly enjoying the view!
P.S. Why can't he seem to keep his tongue in his mouth? That's such a Megan Fox thing to do!

...and not in a good way!
Last night Lindsay Lohan went to the Chateau Marmont, and then she headed to Sam's pad, at which point photographers heard screaming and banging noises!
What could these two possibly be fighting about? Poor Lindsay just had her house broken into, so you'd think Sam would take it easy on her! After a few minutes of hollering, the squabbling seemed to stop, but then Lindsay called the cops on photographers!
Ahhh, the drama never ends...

A&E announced Tuesday that what had initially been intended to be a one hour special about the Jackson 5 40th anniversary tour would now be made into a full reality series dealing with the fallout of Michael's death - but now
ET says Michael himself may actually appear in the show.
Sources apparently told the show that "Michael also participated in the filming," which wrapped just days before his death.
Although it's unclear whether the series will feature previously unseen or archived footage, I'm sure all of Michael's fans will be tuning in to get another look at the fallen idol.

Jon and Kate Gosselin (sorta) played nice this morning when they sent their 9-year-old twin girls Cara and Mady off for their first day of school. Though the estranged spouses did not interact with one another, they tried to keep things cordial as their darling daughters boarded the school bus.
The family arrived in separate cars to the bus pickup point near their Wernersville, Pennsylvania home, according to
Us Weekly. The twins rode with Kate to the pickup spot, and they gave Jon a hug before they hopped on the bus.
Kate briefly boarded the bus to say farewell, and then she quickly walked away, ignoring Jon and the group of photographers. Hey, it could have been way worse!
