A jubilant, post-workout Jessica Simpson was spotted leaving the gym in Beverly Hills yesterday, and it looks like the newly single starlet is going to keep this up, as she seems to be on a bit of a revenge diet! Jess has already shed ten pounds, and a source tells OK! mag, "Right after Tony ended things, Jessica said, 'I want my old body back.' She went into her kitchen, got a trash bag and started to clear it out."

Think she'll be able to squeeze into those Dukes of Hazard duds anytime soon? You know she's got those infamous daisy dukes stashed away in the back of her closet somewhere!

Jennifer Aniston will star in the romantic comedy Pumas, which is about two thirtysomething women who make a habit of romancing younger men and take a "French skiing vacation that challenges their romantic expectations." Hmm, sounds like fun...maybe pal Courteney Cox's Cougar Town inspired her to take on this role?

No, that's not a wig...Lindsay's trying to look like her mom a blonde again! Actually, it's for a movie, but still! We really prefer Lilo's luscious red locks, so it's always hard for us when she bleaches her hair...

Yesterday Lindsay Lohan spent 8 HOURS at the Byron & Tracey hair salon, and while she was there, she chowed down on pizza (yes, really!), smoked cigarettes and worked on her computer. When she finally left the hair salon around midnight, she headed straight to Samantha's house, presumably to show off her new 'do...er, hue. As soon as she got there, the cops were called on photogs, but it sure looks like Lindsay got the golden ticket to spend the night there!

Mel Gibson and his babymama Oksana Grigorieva partied at Playhouse in Hollywood last night, but rather than enjoying their time at the new nightclub, Mel reportedly got into a physical altercation with the friend of a tabloid reporter!

Mel and his lady love "seemed to be having a great time together," reports Hollyscoop, but when a Life & Style reporter posing as a fan tried to snap a picture of Mel, things took a turn for the worse. Mel's security team snatched the camera and deleted the pictures, but the reporter wasn't about to give up! Instead, she sent her friend over to their VIP area to take another picture, and that's when Mel allegedly stepped in and attacked the man, practically ripping his t-shirt to shreds!

After the incident occurred, Hollyscoop reports that the "victim" headed to the police station to file a battery report against Mel, and the actor subsequently left the club. Hmm, we don't usually take Mel's side, but given the background info on this story, we're kinda inclined to go with Team Mad Max on this one...what about you guys? Did this reporter and her pal go too far, or did Mel overreact?

UPDATE:
TMZ reports that the man is making the story up, and no criminal charges will be pursued. The man was apparently asked to walk away from Mel & company at least three times during the night, and security told him no photography was allowed in the club, but he persisted. Law enforcement sources say it's a civil matter, and they don't expect to even interview Gibson, let alone charge him with anything.

Though she hasn't officially confirmed that she's expecting, supermodel Gisele Bundchen has been photographed with a noticeable baby bump, and that bump is noticeably absent from these sexy new London Fog ads! So what happened?

Dari Marder, London Fog's Chief Marketing Officer issued the following statement:

“Although Gisele was photographed while pregnant, most of the shots have been retouched to respect her privacy during this wonderful and personal time in her life. Nobody is sexier or more beautiful than Gisele Bundchen in nothing but a London Fog trench coat, even with her visible baby bump."

Hmm, I guess Gisele's pregnancy is officially confirmed now! So much for respecting her privacy...but hey, we kinda already figured it out, so it's not that big of a deal, right?

Britney Spears had her bodyguard run into a local Starbucks yesterday to buy her a frappe, but he bought the wrong coffee for the pop princess, and when he came back to the car, Brit was less than pleased. Brit sent him back in to fetch the right drink, and thankfully he got it right the second time around...we don't know if Britney could handle another beverage mixup!

An X17 photog tells X17online:  

“Brit was pretty pissed with her bodyguard when he brought the wrong coffee.  I mean, she gets the SAME Frappacino almost ever day - is it that hard for him to remember her order?  But when he came back with the right coffee, she was totally excited and thankful.  Whipped cream seems to make her happy!"

Katherine Jackson, 79, and Debbie Rowe, the biological mother of two of Michael Jackson's children, have reached a custody agreement, giving the Jackson matriarch sole custody of kids, as was revealed today in an interview on CBS' Early Show.

Rowe WILL have visitation rights but will not et any money in the deal, which some earlier reports had suspected she would angle for.

Katherine Jackson's attorney L. Londell McMillan told a CBS reporter:

"It's an agreement, an agreement for the best interests of the children. This is not a money deal. This is not about money. ... There is no situation better for these children than for them to be raised and reared in the loving care of Mrs. Katherine Jackson."

McMillan: "I don't think it's valid at all. I think Joe Jackson is the husband of Mrs. Jackson, but he's not living in Los Angeles."

McMillan: "I'm not in the rumor business; I'm in the law business. I'm not going to even entertain those questions right now."

How much does Katherine get?:
She'll get 40% of her son's estate and Jackson's long-time business partners, John McClain and John Branca, will manage all matters of the estate.

McMillan estimates it could be worth as much as $2 billion. The CBS reporter noted: "If the estate achieves its potential earnings, and that's if the estate is managed effectively. Clearly, Michael Jackson in death could be even more of an industry than he was during his lifetime."

Already the fallout of success is striking Twilight! Beyond the are-they, aren't-they media ploy of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's supposed romance, now the vampire trilogy has a new scandal -- it's first fired actress!

We reported earlier that Rachelle Lefevre's Victoria character would be played by Bryce Dallas Howard in the third installment, Eclipse, and now Lefevre is coming out fighting! ... albeit with soft kidskin gloves in order to maintain a sense of decency in Hollywood. Here's what she had to stay about being dumped by the film's studio, Summit Entertainment:

"I was stunned. I was fully committed to the Twilight saga, and to the portrayal of Victoria. I turned down several other film opportunities and, in accordance with my contractual rights, accepted only roles that would involve very short shooting schedules.

My commitment to Barney's Version is only 10 days. Summit picked up my option for Eclipse. Although the production schedule for Eclipse is over three months long, Summit said they had a conflict during those ten days and would not accommodate me. Given the length of filming for Eclipse, never did I fathom I would lose the role over a 10-day overlap.

I was happy with my contract with Summit and was fully prepared to continue to honor it. Summit chose simply to recast the part. I am greatly saddened that I will not get to complete my portrayal of Victoria for the Twilight audience. This is a story, a theatrical journey and a character that I truly love and about which I am very passionate.

I will be forever grateful to the fan support and loyalty I've received since being cast for this role, and I am hurt deeply by Summit's surprising decision to move on without me. I wish the cast and crew of Eclipse only the very best."

At least she's gracious, but dayyuumm!

But wait, it's not over yet! Summit finally released a statement to Access Hollywood, expressing their disappointment in Rachelle's decision to double-book herself for Eclipse and the indie film Barney's Version:

"We at Summit Entertainment are disappointed by Rachelle Lefevre's recent comments which attempt to make her career choices the fault of the Studio. Her decision to discuss her version of the scheduling challenges publicly has forced the Studio to set the record straight and correct the facts."

It was not until July 20th that Summit was first informed of Ms. Lefevre's commitment to Barney's Version, a commitment we have since been advised she accepted in early June. Summit had acted in good faith that she would be available to fulfill her obligations both in terms of rehearsals and shooting availability for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. We feel that her choice to withhold her scheduling conflict information from us can be viewed as a lack of cooperative spirit which affected the entire production.

Ms. Lefevre took a role in the other film that places her in Europe during the required rehearsal time, and at least ten days of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse's principal photography. This period is essential for both rehearsal time with the cast, and for filming at key locations that are only available during the initial part of production.

The fact remains that Ms. Lefevre's commitment to the other project—which she chose to withhold from Summit until the last possible moment—makes her unfortunately unavailable to perform the role of Victoria.
