Since LeAnn Rimes is so insistent on not wearing a bra, I think it's fair game to point out how nippy it was in Los Angeles the other day. Wait, is there ANY chance she did this just for attention?

I'm not criticizing LeAnn for having natural A-cup boobies - there's certainly nothing wrong with that - but don't act like you're annoyed with all the media attention when you walk around braless and make out with other people's husbands!

Rihanna is scheduled to take the stand this afternoon during ex-boyfriend Chris Brown's preliminary hearing, where the R&B singer is facing felony charges of assault and making criminal threats. Of course, this all stems from the incident that occurred in the early hours of Sunday, February 8 where Chris allegedly beat up Rihanna so severely she wound up in the hospital.

Legal experts tell MTV News that Chris is expected to plead the fifth and not testify, while Rihanna has been subpoenaed by the prosecution and is likely to be questioned about the events of that night. Though Rihanna is legally required to appear in court, she cannot be forced to testify, and if she appears credible on the stand, it could prompt Chris' legal team to accept a plea deal to avoid a trial, which could include jail time. However, if Rihanna's testimony seems unreliable and prosecutors fail to prove that they have a case, Brown's lawyer Mark Geragos could ask for the two felony charges to be reduced or even (gasp!) dismissed on the spot.

However, even without her testimony, it appears as though there may be enough evidence to take Chris' case to trial. The graphic photo taken of Rihanna immediately after the incident, along with the statement that Chris threatened to kill her (not to mention Rihanna being hospitalized) is all information that could land the prosecution a trial date.

If the judge rules that the next step in the process is a trial by jury, Brown will likely have thirty days before he will be arraigned again. During that process, Chris will be "held to answer," meaning he would be required to enter a plea once again - Brown previously pleaded not guilty at his first arraignment.

Think Chris will be able to beat the system? Or will he get properly punished for what he did? And will Rihanna actually testify?

Lindsay Lohan is no stranger to cops, but she's had more interaction with them in the last few days than she's had in the last few years!

THURSDAY NIGHT -

Late Thursday night/early Friday morning (when she was hanging out with Seacrest) the cops were called to Lindsay's pad after neighbors complained of the loud music she and Ryan were rocking out to in the early morning. After the boys in blue paid her a visit, she obliged by turning the volume down...but only temporarily!

FRIDAY NIGHT -

Then, Friday night, Lindsay called the cops to give her an escort home from a friend's house before she headed over to Sam's (good thing they didn't follow her there - she coulda been arrested for stalking!)

SATURDAY NIGHT -

And then on Saturday night, after partying with Brittny Gastineau at Taverna Tony's, she called the cops for an escort yet again.

SUNDAY NIGHT -

Last night, the LAPD returned to their home away from home...but this time, it had nothing to do with Lindsay! Someone got into an accident right near her home, and the cops came to the scene to take a report.

Although all this police activity in the last few days seems a bit excessive...it's not like it's unusual for Lilo! Lindsay calls on the cops for help all the time (not to mention the notable times she hasn't wanted to see them!) We can't imagine all the taxpayer $$$ the LAPD devotes just to responding to calls by or about Lindsay!

Just days before production was scheduled to begin, Columbia has pulled the plug on Steven Soderbergh's baseball drama "Moneyball" starring Brad Pitt.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a move like this is "extremely rare," but sources reveal that Columbia's co-chairman Amy Pascal "wasn't comfortable with the script," which had been altered quite a bit since the movie was greenlit.

Soderbergh wrote the most recent version of the screenplay, which is an adaptation of Michael Lewis' book about the Oakland Athletics and their GM Billy Beane, who assembled a rival baseball club despite a payroll much lower than most other teams.

Soderbergh shot interviews with real baseball figures, which were going to be interspersed in the film, and some insiders believe that Pascal (who had not seen the interviews) Pascal was "leery" about this approach, fearing the film "lacked emotion."

Yikes! We're sure Brad's got plenty of other projects to work on, but this totally sucks for the cast and crew who were ready to go forward with this flick this week!
