Seems like Jenny McCarthy is set to become the heir apparent to Oprah, with a deal from the queen of media herself!

McCarthy just inked a multi-platform deal with Harpo to develop a syndie talk show as well as a blog that's set to launch this week on Oprah.com, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Jenny's written numerous books about being a mother dealing with autism which has endeared the former Playboy playmate to the Oprah audience. But does she have the right stuff to become the next talk show mogul?

Finally! Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard got married on Saturday, May 2 at a small chapel at the Masseria hotel in Brindisi, Italy. The couple announced their engagement in April of 2006, and a rep confirmed the news of their nuptials.

Maggie and Peter have been together for 7 years, and they have a 2-year-old daughter Ramona. These two have been together for so long, we think they'll be one of the rare Hollywood couples that will actually last...congrats to them!

Speaking of Hollywood couples, Jake and Reese attended the intimate ceremony, and we can't help but wonder if they're going to be heading down the aisle next! We can only hope, right?

Today, Malawian courts heard Madonna's appeal to reverse the decision to deny her the right to adopt 3-year-old Mercy James, but yesterday, Madonna was appealing to a higher power at Kabbalah with her kids in tow.

It will be a few days before the judge will apparently make his decision, so it remains to be seen if Madge will become a mother again or if she'll just have to settle for taking care of a 22-year-old Brazilian model.

On a side note: Not only is Lourdes starting to look more like a young woman than a child, she also looks like she is NOT HAVING IT! Think she's tired of her mom's crazy antics?

We snapped the actor at Pacific Coast Greens in Malibu over the weekend, and rather than covering his mug or flipping us off, Mel flashed us a wide variety of faces and briefly chatted with our photogs on the way to his car.
