On the media and all the nasty articles written about her:

“When it comes to media criticism, that’s just something I have had to train myself - literally train myself - to ignore. Because I’m the one up there onstage, and I can feel the energy of the crowd. And I know when I did good. And I know when I did great. And there wasn’t one time on this tour when I felt like I butchered it. I mean, the way people make it sound, I should have never been singing in the first place...I can’t imagine saying some of the things people have said about me about anybody else."

On her relationship with her father:

"I can talk to my dad like he’s my manager, and put ‘Dad’ on the back burner. We’ve been doing it since I was 13. So, at this point, we’re in a good rhythm. A lot of people find it strange, but it’s the only way I know. And I don’t care to know another way, because it suits me. And we’ve done a pretty dang good job."

On ex-hubby Nick Lachey and Newlyweds:

"I have not spoken to him in years....in all honesty, I believe [the show] did not affect our marriage. Because we enjoyed watching those episodes, and that will always be a time I cherish. It made me understand what marriage is, what love is, what commitment is."

It's that time of the year! You know, when the MTV Movie Awards nominees are announced! This year, Twilight snagged seven nominations, including Best Movie, Best Female Performance and Breakthrough Performance Male, while Slumdog Millionaire earned six nominations, including Best Movie, Breakthrough Performance Female and Breakthrough Performance Male.

The other flicks rounding out the Best Movie category are The Dark Knight, High School Musical 3: Senior Year and Iron Man.

In addition to Rob Pattinson (Twilight) and Dev Patel (Slumdog Millionaire), the Breakthrough Performance Male category consists of Ben Barnes (The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian) and Bobb'e J. Thompson (Role Models). The Breakthrough Performance Female selections include Freida Pinto (Slumdog Millionaire), Ashley Tisdale (HSM 3), Vanessa Hudgens (HSM 3) and Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana: The Movie).

The Best Female Performance nominees include Kristin Stewart (Twilight), Anne Hathaway (Bride Wars), Angelina Jolie (Wanted) and Kate Winslet (The Reader), while other Best Male Performance noms went to Zac Efron (HSM 3), Shia LaBeouf (Eagle Eye) and Robert Downey, Jr. (Tropic Thunder).

Best Fight nominees include Christian Bale and Heath Ledger (The Dark Knight) and Seth Rogen, James Franco and Danny McBride (Pineapple Express), while the Best Kiss category pits Twilight (Stewart and Pattinson) against Slumdog Millionaire (Pinto and Patel), Milk (James Franco and Sean Penn), and I Love You, Man (Paul Rudd and Thomas Lennon).

MTV will also introduce two new categories at this year's show - Best Song From a Movie and Best WTF Moment. Can't wait to see who takes home the golden popcorn for that last one!

Over the weekend, Eva Longoria attended The Rally For Kids With Cancer Scavenger Cup "Start Your Engines" brunch, and the actress looked delighted to be raising the flags (and awareness!) for the children's charity. Aww, we love it when celebs donate their time and money to a good cause...the only question is, why don't we see way more of them doing it?

Seems like Jenny McCarthy is set to become the heir apparent to Oprah, with a deal from the queen of media herself!

McCarthy just inked a multi-platform deal with Harpo to develop a syndie talk show as well as a blog that's set to launch this week on Oprah.com, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Jenny's written numerous books about being a mother dealing with autism which has endeared the former Playboy playmate to the Oprah audience. But does she have the right stuff to become the next talk show mogul?

On Sunday, Nicole, Joel and Harlow got lunch with Nicole's mom Brenda in Santa Monica, and photogs tell X17online exclusively that the once skinny starlet was really chowing down! We know she's eating for two, but could it be possible that she's eating for three? We're sure Nicole and Joel would love twins, but how will Harlow feel about it?

Finally! Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard got married on Saturday, May 2 at a small chapel at the Masseria hotel in Brindisi, Italy. The couple announced their engagement in April of 2006, and a rep confirmed the news of their nuptials.

Maggie and Peter have been together for 7 years, and they have a 2-year-old daughter Ramona. These two have been together for so long, we think they'll be one of the rare Hollywood couples that will actually last...congrats to them!

Speaking of Hollywood couples, Jake and Reese attended the intimate ceremony, and we can't help but wonder if they're going to be heading down the aisle next! We can only hope, right?
