Hilton Family Breaks Out The Big Guns

With forty-five days of hard time hanging over their daughter Paris' head, the Hilton clan appears to be circling the wagons for one final legal stand, having hired the "LA's premiere legal defense for DUI cases" Richard Hutton as her legal representative. More recently, Paris has issued a statement, which People.com quotes as saying:""After reading the media's coverage of my court hearing, I feel the need to correct what I believe are misperceptions about me. I absolutely realize how serious driving under the influence is. I could not live with myself if anyone was injured or killed while I was driving while impaired. Clearly, no one should – no matter how slightly. I am ready to face the consequences of violating probation.
"No one is above the law. I surely am not. I do not expect to be treated better than anyone else who violated probation. However, my hope is that I will not be treated worse.""

No turning back now...We can't help but notice that this flurry of activity's all coincided with Elliot Mintz's rededication to Paris' cause - he may have dropped the ball early in his handling of his client, but he's certainly not leaving any doubts about the extent of his influence now that he's back on the case!
