We thought the story of Paris' pooches being maimed by a coyote was totally tragic ... but now it's just full on crazy!

Why in the world Paris' manager would think he needs to cover up the story is beyond me, but for some reason, he's out to deny, deny, deny (hey, isn't that a publicist's job?).

X17online learned exclusively (by confirming the story with Paris' real-life BFF), that the story was, in fact true, after a witness in Paris' neighborhood first told us about the sad story.

Then, when we reported the bad news, Paris' peeps went wacko on us and demanded we remove it! Why????

Well, not because it was false, but because Paris doesn't want people to know ... which makes me thinks she doesn't want people to think it's her fault. Which then makes me think it was her fault.

Either way, people should DEFINITELY keep their pets indoors when they live in the hills where coyotes live. And sometimes an accident happens and a really tragic mistake occurs and that's just really too bad.

We're sorry for your loss, Paris, and we hope other people will learn from this sad story.
