While Michael Lohan claims he's trying to steer Lindsay in the right direction -- away from Sam -- the Post is reporting that Lilo's mom partied with Lindsay's brother at an NYC club on his 21st b'day the other night!

Apparently the Living Lohan star decided to celebrate her son's inclusion into the over-21 club by taking him to 1Oak.

Hmmm, Dina's having her son's birthday party at a club, Lindsay's celebrating Christmas at a dive bar...could Michael Lohan be right?
