World War Z has made headlines for bearing no resemblance to Max Brooks' book of the same name, and while it looks amazing, Brad Pitt has revealed that it was quite a struggle to get the film where it is today. Pitt chats with the new issue of Entertainment Weekly about the problems he overcame while producing the film, whose budget went from $125 million to over $170 million over the span of a few months.

Not only were there money issues, but it took six years to develop and shoot the movie, and there were numerous re-writes, the last of which took place after principal scenes for the film were already shot. The changes made by writers Damon Lindelof and Drew Goddard called for five weeks of re-shoots and for an "extensive portion" of scenes shot in Budapest cut out of the project entirely. Yikes!

“These movies are very intricate puzzles, and you have to keep winding the mechanisms,” Pitt tells the mag. "We give so much more credence to the end-of-the-year dramas. In these movies you’re triggering emotions, too—a thrill response—but they are far more calibrated. You’ve got to be a bit of a technician."

When asked about the cut Budapest scenes, Pitt said, “Well, you remember that at the time I was really interested in a more political film, using the zombie trope as a kind of Trojan horse for asking: ‘What would happen to sociopolitical lines if there was a pandemic like this? Who would be on top? Who would be the powerful countries and who would be the most vulnerable?’. We wanted to really explore that, but it was just too much. We got bogged down in it; it was too much to explain. It gutted the fun of what these films are meant to be.”

And viewers want that the same way they want us to blog... So yeah, she got the hoof! She says she walked away, but she didn't. She got the big Maloof hoof! And you can quote me on that!" she sniped to Us Weekly.

Taylor Swift is currently on the East coast as part of her RED concert tour, and last night the country cutie belted it out to a sold out-arena in New Jersey.

The "Trouble" singer donned red jeans - natch! - with a signature sailor striped top and letterman's jacket, and the Grammy winner was all smiles as she sang all her latest hits for her adoring fans!

"Newark you are amazing. See you tomorrow? And the next night?" she tweeted after the show.

The 23-year-old has two more concerts on Thursday and Friday night at the Prudential Center, but then she has a little time off her crazy tour schedule before she is due to perform in Miami on April 10. Not only that, but she's got to find time to guest star on the New Girl season finale!

Before jetting off to Munich, Germany for the next stop on his Believe tour, Justin Bieber visited ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez at her Los Angeles home, reports Us Weekly. The Biebs dropped by around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, and his security team and driver waited outside while he spent about an hour with Selena.

Not sure what they chatted about, but we're guessing his battery investigation had to have come up in the conversation! Bieber is currently being investigated for battery against his neighbor, and while a source close to the pop star's security team tells X17online that "there was no physical altercation" between the two, it's being reported that Bieber hocked a loogie in the man's face!

When we polled X17 readers yesterday, 89% of you said you wouldn't be surprised if the bad boy pop star did spit in his neighbor's face, while 11% of you still believe that his neighbor is a hater who wants to tarnish his reputation.

Bieber chatted with Us Weekly about making headlines, and he told the mag, "The biggest misconception about me is that I'm a bad person. I get upset about that ... I'm young and I make mistakes. That's part of growing up. I mess up sometimes. It's part of growing up. I know who I am and I'm not gonna let negativity towards me bring me down. I'm a positive person and I plan on staying that way."

Lilo wrapped filming for her guest spot on Anger Management on Tuesday, and aside from hanging out with new beau Avi Snow, she's been maintaining a relatively low profile. But when is she going to start her 90-day rehab sentence? She has until May 2 to let the court know where she plans on going, but according to various reports, she wants to go to the Coachella music festival here in SoCal first, so it doesn't look like she plans on checking in to any facilities anytime soon!
