"Is the storm coming here? IS THE STORM COMING HERE?!?! "I have water, batteries, a Scrabble dictionary, peanut M&Ms, a copy of Decision Points and a Thigh Master."

And amidst all the chaos, CNN news anchor Anderson Cooper had a relatively easy time picking up supplies, Tweeting: "I went grocery shopping in NY for canned food in case Irene knocks power out. The supermarket was empty of people and the shelves were packed."

Halle went to visit a friend in Los Angeles Friday afternoon, just hours after meeting with a family law judge in court over the latest custody battle between her and ex Gabriel Aubry.

In this latest round, Berry's lawyer asked that Aubry be held in contempt for violating their previous agreement, according to TMZ. Halle was said to have won this round and Gabriel won't get the time he had hoped for with Nahla when his ex goes to shoot a movie in Europe shortly.

Katie revealed, “I talk to my mom about six times a day, and we constantly e-mail in between that. People say that I'm her twin. Even when I was little, I was glued to her all the time. I'm close to my dad, but they're totally different kinds of relationships.”

Kristin Cavallari has just accepted an invitation to attend the Marine Corps Ball in San Diego this November, following in the footsteps of Mila Kunis who received her own invite in July.

Marine Jonathan Burkett extended the invitation to the newly-single reality star via Twitter, asking:

"Wanted to know if you want to go the Marine Corps Ball with me in San Diego?! Would make a video but still deployed!"

It didn't take long for Cavallari to promptly reply, "Would love to! When is it?"

The Laguna Beach star's people are reportedly working out all the details to make this ball a special one for the U.S. Marine.
