Forget music and movies - J. Simp is making her money in the fashion world!

The former pop star and her fashion empire earned a whopping $750 million in 2010 and, as she expands her collection this year, is expected to earn $1 billion by the end of 2011, according to a new article in New York Magazine.

"I never thought I'd be some fashion mogul," Jess tells the mag. Simpson is currently engaged to former NFL player Eric Johnson.

"It was a complete shock, a beautiful shock," she says. "It felt great for somebody to be on his knee and I had to sit on that knee because I was so excited and overwhelmed. I couldn't even stand. Knowing that I had his knee to sit on in that moment was very magical. The way I always wanted it to be."

Actress Lindsay Lohan has a smart attorney in Shawn Holley - the two women have worked out a defense against the prosecution in the case of the Komofie & Co. stolen necklace.

Holley intends to argue that necklace in question, priced at $2,500 at the Venice jewelry store, has a "fair market value" of approximately $950, making this a petty theft case instead of grand theft.

Under those terms, Lindsay should only receive a misdemeanor charge (not a felony) which is punishable by six months in jail (and not a year).

A source close to Lindsay tells X17 the following:

"Lindsay's going to accept a plea bargain. She's waiting to try and get the charges reduced to a misdemeanor. She just made the decision last night."

Will this defense strategy work? As Holley has previously stated, she only wants "no jail" for her client so LiLo "can move forward with her recovery and her career."

Former teen heartthrob turned Martin Scorsese's fave actor, Leonardo DiCaprio, was spotted cruising through Beverly Hills on his scooter (no motorcycle, Leo?) with hot model girlfriend Bar Refaeli over the weekend. DiCaprio is currently filming J. Edgar in LA, directed by Clint Eastwood, which recalls the FBI director's scandalous career and personal life.

Wonder what plans Leo has in store for Bar on Valentine's Day tomorrow? Maybe he'll finally pop the question!

Lady Gaga's instant hit single "Born This Way" is already the fastest selling song in iTunes history, but fans and critics alike are complaining it rips off Madonna's "Express Yourself."

Personally, we also think it sounds like Kelly Rowland and David Guetta's "When Love Takes Over," but that's beside the point. The lyrics are new and bold and the song stands on its own, right?

Caryn Ganz at Amplifier calls it "overworked, overwrought, noisy, cheesy, and very, very derivative," while Rolling Stone points out that Madonna's "Express Yourself" was "just a knock-off of the Staple Singlers' 'Respect Yourself.'"

Jennifer Aniston - 1, Justin Bieber - 0!

The Justin Bieber concert documentary Never Say Never - which included 3D runs - earned a better than expected $30.3 million this weekend from 3,105 theaters.

Just Go With It, a rom-com starring Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston, barely beat it with $31 million.

But since tomorrow is Valentine's Day, analysts predict an even bigger spike for the Aniston flick today and tomorrow.

Ironically, the Bieber doc received a 64% fresh consensus on RottenTomatoes while Just Go With It earned a dismal 18% rotten overall.

Poor Ri! The sexy singer has been sick since Thursday, when she Tweeted: "Bronchitis and laryngitis boo! I'm still goin to rehearsals tho! Sunday is everything."

And now today marks the 53rd Grammy Awards - will Rihanna still perform?

Ri sported her red 'fro at Gucci and Roc Nation's pre-Grammy brunch at the Montage in Beverly Hills on Saturday, and Grammy reps says "as far as we know she will still be performing."
