Katy Perry has released the video for her new single Firework, and the starlet tweeted last night that she's dedicating it to the It Gets Better campaign for bullied youth because "everyone has the spark to be a firework."

"People are coming back and almost adopting it as their own anthem, and it's hard, I think, to write an anthem that's not cheesy," she told MTV News. "And I hope that this could be something in that category. I hope this could be one of those things where it's like, 'Yeah, I want to put my fist up and feel proud and feel strong.'"

Portia De Rossi is opening up in her new memoir, Unbearable Lightness, about her battle with anorexia and bulimia ... and how wife, Ellen DeGeneres, saved her life.

37-year-old De Rossi, who at one point says she dipped down to 82lbs, discusses how she first met DeGeneres, 52, in March 2001:

"I remember being so excited and overjoyed to be around her that i can still recall the feeling of running after her back stage. Ellen has taught me not to care about other people's opinions. Ellen saw a glimpse of my inner being from underneath the flesh and bone, reached in and pulled me out."

Portia, who admits in the book to taking 20 laxatives a day, writes:

"I'd never known a day when my weight wasn't the determining factor for my self esteem. The more effort I put into starving myself, the more satisfaction I would feel."

Charlie Sheen was snapped on the Los Angeles set of She Wants Me this morning, and this is the first video of the actor since he was hospitalized in NYC after being found "drunk and naked" at the Plaza Hotel early on Tuesday morning.

Sheen appeared to be in good spirits, but he didn't have much to say when asked about his latest drama. "I can't talk, I got no voice," he told our videographer when we spotted him arriving in the back seat of a chauffeured car.

Sheen's rep told X17online that the star had suffered an "adverse allergic reaction to some medication" and an officer on the scene told the NY Post that Sheen appeared to be "suffering some [sort of] emotional breakdown." The Post, along with several other media outlets reported that Sheen was holed up in the hotel room with a hooker, who locked herself in the closet when the 45-year-old actor became violent and accused her of stealing his wallet.

She Wants Me follows a screenwriter who promises a struggling actress a role in his latest script, but chaos ensues when an A-list starlet (played by Duff) shows up and wants the part too. We're not sure what Sheen's role entails, but this isn't the only thing he's working on -- we're told he's heading back to NYC early next week to resume shooting Two And A Half Men on Tuesday.

Courtney Love went shopping at the Pascal Mouawad showroom in Hollywood yesterday afternoon, and the rocker/hot mess picked out several pieces of jewelry for the amFAR event which she attended later in the evening. While it seems like a glam thing thing to do before hitting the red carpet, Courtney certainly found a way to make it totally trashy (and a bit repulsive, if you ask us)!

We already got a peek at one of Rihanna's Marie Claire UK shots earlier this week, and now the singer opens up in a very honest interview with the mag.

Of the chaotic state her life was in after she was assaulted by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, Rihanna said, "I was very lost. I have to say I felt really confused. I hate talking about it but it was really crazy because I felt so out of touch with myself and when that happens it's scary because nothing you say or do feels like it's you. You just lose touch of everything that you love and everything that you would normally do; how you would dress or how you would say something. It just feels like it's not coming from you. It's just this one empty vase. I felt like an empty vessel." Wow!

Rihanna continued, "God has a crazy way of working, and sometimes when stuff happens you feel like, 'What did I do to deserve this? Why was it backfiring on me?' Eventually, I remember waking up one day and I knew I was over it. One day. I remember I was in New York at the Trump Hotel and I woke up and I just knew I was over it. I needed that wake-up call in my life. I needed a turning point, and that's what God was giving to me. All this terrible stuff they say to you, it breaks you down."

Of course, things are much better now, as Rihanna has gotten pretty serious with LA Dodgers star Matt Kemp. Of her newfound love, Rihanna says, "I feel like I smile for real this time. The smiles come from inside, and it exudes in everything I do. People feel my energy is different. When I smile they can tell that it's pure bliss and not just a cover up."

Janet Jackson stopped by to visit the ladies of The View to promote her Tyler Perry movie, For Colored Girls ... and she got an earful backstage from co-host Sherri Shepherd. Ms. Shepherd got candid with Ms. Jackson ... discussing some awkward relationship issues.

When it comes to being intimate with her boyfriend, Sal ... Sherri admits to Janet:

"He fantasizes about you when he's with me."

The comedian even admits that her boyfriend has called her "Janet" in the moment. Whoa...TMI, Sherri!

Justin Bieber is looking picture perfect on the cover of Brazilan teen magazine Todateen Star looking more glam than usual. Perfect hair, flawless skin ... and guyliner?

The magazine has been accused of doing some heavy photoshop work on the 16-year- old singer... which they've denied. Maybe Biebs is getting makeup tips from goth teen rocker Taylor Momsen ... who's obsessed with her eyeliner.

David Arquette, Chris Brown (ugh, I know) and Ashton Kutcher were among the fellows who attended the GQ Gentleman's Ball in New York City last night, and Courtney Cox's estranged husband was kind enough to pose for pictures AND stay mum on his relationship drama when we snapped him coming and going from the event.

David wore one of his traditionally wacky suits and flashed the peace sign, and if he hadn't just spilled the beans to Howard Stern for a second time about everything from extramarital sex to drinking, we might be inclined to actually refer to him as a gentleman! David does seem to feel a bit guilty for his most recent blabfest, as he said, "I know I probably offend some people. I have been talking a little too much so I'm trying not to talk as much."
