Guess Mel Gibson won't get a chance to redeem himself in the comedy sequel, much like the way Mike Tyson did in the original!

Mel Gibson has been dropped from The Hangover 2 - and replaced by Liam Neeson, of all people - and director Todd Phillips has adjusted his first statement about the awkward situation to Entertainment Tonight:

The Hangover 2 is a family ... and as much as I loved the idea, a lot of people didn't. I didn't want anything to come in between that family."

Phillips also adds praise for Gibson this time around, calling him "one of our finest actors and, quite honestly, one of our finest directors."

Think those kind words make up for it? Mel is pretty peeved!

Yesterday we snapped Kim Kardashian and her gal pal Ciara shopping and dining in New York City, and the girls looked delighted to be spending Ciara's 25th birthday together. Ciara tweeted "Bday Brunch, fun time indeed! Thanks @KimKardashian! You're so sweet!" and posted this pic of the two:

Kurt Warner's partner on Dancing With The Stars, Anna Trebunskaya, was very vocal about her disapproval of the judges' scores and comments after their Paso Doble.

"Sometimes they give us better comments and better scores, but today it was bad comments and bad scores," said the redhead outside of Madeo last night.

However, despite the low ratings, Anna said that her NFL star partner Kurt was "a winner in my eyes."

Let's hope the public agrees and keeps him in the competition tonight!

Willow Smith joined her "big brother" Justin Bieber on stage at the Staples Center in Los Angeles last night in a surprise appearance during his sold-out show where the Biebs brought Will and Jada's youngest out to perform her hit, "Whip My Hair".

The two precocious youngsters then got down and taught the audience how to "Dougie".

Willow wasn't the only celebrity to surprise the crowd last night. Her real brother Jaden and Justin's mentor Usher also wowed the crowd.

After the show, Bieber tweeted, "LA TONIGHT WAS CRAZY!!!! USHER, JADEN, SEAN, and even my lil sis WILLOW SMITH!!!! WE SHUT LA DOWN!!!!!!!! LOVE YALL."

We're sure the feeling is mutual!

Michael Douglas, whose rep says he's recovering from his recent bout with throat cancer, was looking as thin as ever -- yet happy -- as he walked his dog in New York this morning.

And Michael has a lot to be happy about. In addition to working towards regaining his health, there's been a lot of Oscar buzz surrounding Douglas for his work in both Wall Street 2 and the indie comedy, Solitary Man.

After a very scary summer, this could turn out to be one of his best years yet!

After recently splitting from boyfriend Shia LaBeouf, Carey Mulligan has reportedly moved on to British actor (and Rob Pattinson's BFF) Tom Sturridge! Though a source tells Us mag they're "just pals" (adding that he's dating a British model), The Daily Mail have spotted the two together in Hollywood this week, and we're pretty sure we caught them leaving the Chateau Marmont last night. Who knows whether they're hooking up or not (or if this camera shy mystery man is even Tom!) but Carey is definitely well on her way to getting over her Wall Street 2 co-star!

Carey is currently shooting Drive with Ryan Gosling, and it's been reported that the starlet will move back to the UK after production wraps.
